A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AMENDMENTS TO THE
ADOPTED LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA
GENERAL PLAN TO THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the City Council has activated the optional General
Plan Amendment cycle; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a duly advertised
public hearing to consider all comments on the proposed General Plan
Amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Rancho Cucamonga
Planning Commission does hereby recommend that the City Council approve
the following amendments to the land use element of the General Plan.
SECTION 1: General Plan Amendment No. 82-01-A: Under the
first policy statement, paragraph 3 of the Land Use Element (page 30)
shall be changed to read as follows :
"The City shall not generally consider for approval ,
any development plans located within the Planned
• Communities area, until such time as the Planned
Community has been reviewed and adopted by the City
Council . However, the City may approve minor exceptions
to this policy, if in its judgement, the plans are
consistent with the Planned Community and General
Plan Goals". This exception shall be limited':to one
time only per planned community area and shall not
encompass more than 5% or 50 acres of the planned
community area, whichever is less .
SECTION 2: General Plan Amendment No. 82-01-C: An amendment
of the General Plan Land Use Map in the area north of 4th Street extending
approximately 1400' east of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railroad
tracks and west of Etiwanda Avenue as shown on attached Exhibit "A" .
This area shall be shown on the General Plan as General Industrial Land
Use.
SECTION 3: It is recommended that a Negative Declaration be
adopted for these General Plan amendments, based upon the completion and
findings of the Initial Study.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 22ND DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1982.

I , JACK LAM, Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced, passed, and adopted by the Planning Commission of
the City of Rancho Cucamonga, at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission held on the 22nd day of February, 1982, by the following
vote-to-wit:
