A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING COMMISSION
APPROVING VARIANCE NO. 83-02 TO REDUCE THE BUILDING
SETBACKS AND STREETSCAPE FOR SIX (6) INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS
LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 8TH STREET, WEST OF VINEYARD
AVENUE IN THE GENERAL INDUSTRIAL CATEGORY (SUBAREA 1)
WHEREAS, on the 31st day of January, 1983, an application was filed
and accepted on the above-described project; and
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of March, 1983, the Planning Commission held
a duly advertised public hearing pursuant to Section 65854 of the California
Government Code.
SECTION 1: The Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission has made the
following findings:
1. That strict or literal interpretation and
enforcement of the specified regulation would result
in practical difficulty or unnecessary physical
hardship inconsistent with the objectives of the
Zoning Code.
• 2. That there are exceptional or extraordinary
circumstances or conditions applicable to the
property involved or to the intended use of the
property that do not apply generally to other
properties in the same zone.
3. That strict or literal interpretation and
enforcement of the specified regulation would
deprive the applicant of privileges enjoyed by the
owners of other properties in the same zone.
4. That the granting of the Variance will not
constitute a grant of special privilege inconsistent
with the limitations on other properties classified
in the same zone.
5. That the granting of the Variance will not be
detrimental to the public health, safety, or
welfare, or materially injurious to properties or
improvements in the vicinity.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 23RD DAY OF MARCH, 1983.
