A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
VACATE A PORTIONS OF ALLEYS GENERALLY WITHIN THE
NORTHTOWN AREA, LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
FERON BOULEVARD, WEST OF HERMOSA AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby elects to proceed under Section
8300, et. seq., of the Streets and Highways Code, also
known as the Street Vacation Act of 1941.
SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate
a portion of ALLEYS GENERALLY WITHIN THE Northtown
Area located on the south side of Feron Boulevard, west of
Hermosa Avenue, as shown on Map No. V-161 on file in the
Office of the City Clerk, which has been further described in
the legal descriptions which are attached hereto marked
Exhibits "A", "B" and "C" and by reference are made a part
hereof.
SECTION 3: That the City Council hereby fixes Wednesday, the 7th day of
April, 1999, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers,
located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga,
California, as the time and place for hearing all persons
objecting to the proposed vacation for the purpose of its
determining whether said City street is necessary for present
or prospective street purposes.
SECTION 4: That the City Street Superintendent shall cause notices to be
posted conspicuously along the line of the street or part
thereof proposed to be vacated at least 14 days before the
hearing, not more than 300 feet apart and not less than three
signs shall be posted, each of which shall have a copy of this
resolution on them and shall have the following title in
lettering not less than one inch in height: "NOTICE OF HEARING
TO VACATE STREET".
SECTION 5: The subject vacation shall be subject to the reservations and
exceptions, if any, for existing utilities on record.
SECTION 6: The Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall
attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause same to be
published 14 days before the date set for the hearing, at
least once in Inland Valley Dai~y Bulletin, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Ontario,
California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California.
