A RESOU3I~ON OF IME CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MAN~j3ER AUTHORITY TO DONATE BQUIPMMqT USMD FOR LAW
HNFDRCEMtlqT TO THE COUMI~ OF SAN BERNARDINO,
PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF THAT BQUIPMH]qT IN THE CITY
AND FOR THE BUY BACK OF THAT B~ BY THE CITY
FOR ONE DOT.TAR
WHEREAS, the City contracts with the San Berna~ County Sheriff
for law enforcement services; and
WHERFAS, the County will not all~ Sheriff,s personnel to use
equipment, such as vehicles, unless such equipment is owned by the County; and
WHEREAS, from time to time the City has necessity to purcha~e for law
enforcement in the City certain equipment or the City is given certain
equipment for use in law enforcement in the City; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to expedite the
delivery of equipent for use by law enforcement in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVtI) that the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga, California, does hereby grant authority to the City Manager
to donate equipment to the County of San Berr~ when such equipment is to
be used for law enforcement in Rancho Cucamonga and when the City ha~ the
option to buy the equipment back for one dollar.
PASSED, APPROVHD, and ADOPTED this 18th day of November, 1992.
