A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT TO PROVIDE WORKERS
COMPENSATION COVERAGE FOR VOLUNTEER
PERSONNEL.
WHEREAS,the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District("District")desires to
provide Workers Compensation coverage for persons authorized to perform volunteer services for
the District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Rancho Cucamonga Fire
Protection District that an unsalaried person as designated and authorized by the District to perform
volunteer services for the District shall be deemed to be an employee of the District for the purpose
of Workers' Compensation benefits provided for by law for any injury sustained by him or her while
acting in the course and scope of the authorized services of the District under the direction and
control of the District.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the District's Representative, or their designee, be
instructed to inform the Secretary of PARSAC of the above policy by sending a certified copy of this
Resolution to PARSAC's business office located at 1525 Response Road, Suite I in Sacramento,
California 95815.
