A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT,
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 94-010 AND ADOPTING AS AMENDED, AN
MOU BETWEEN THE BOARD AND THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIREFIGHTER'S LOCAL 2274
WHEREAS, the Local and Board have met and conferred in good faith regarding
issues within the scope of meet and confer; and
WHEREAS, the Local and Board have reached agreement regarding all issues within
the scope of meet and confer;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Board agrees to enact those items as
enumerated in Attachment A, including the existing MOU as prescribed therein, effective, March
25, 1995.
The Board agrees that no changes to this agreement or current conditions of
employment within the scope of meet and confer will be discussed or changed during the term of
the agreement without express written consent and agreement of both parties.
If a court with proper jurisdiction determines that any single provision of this
Resolution is invalid, the remaining provisions of this agreement shall remain valid and in full force
unless otherwise agreed to by the Local and the Board.
This Resolution entered into this 5th day of April, 1995.

Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District, at a regular meeting of said Board held

ATTACHMENT A
AGREEMENT
No page number. "The Union and District agree to postpone negotiations for fiscal year 1995/1996
for salaries and benefits only to the Spring of 1995. In view of a possible revenue shortfall which
the District may confront for the 1994/95 and 1995/96 fiscal years, the Union agrees that it will work
diligently and cooperatively with the District to insure it's fiscal stability through achievement of a
balanced budget."
Page 13, Section 3,D,3 "For purposes of computing overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards
Act (FLSA), military leave, holiday time, injury time, and sick leave shall not be considered hours
worked. Vacation time shall be considered as hours worked."
Page 12, Section 3,A. The first sentence shall remain the same, and retain 14 days as the overtime
work period. However, the Board will review the provision in October 1995.
Page 16, Section 5,A, 1 ,b. Existing wording shall remain and additional wording shall be added as
follows: "Such health benefits are vested for all full time continuous and retired employees as of
November 17, 1994."
Page 44, Section 5. Add a third sentence to read as follows: "Minimum manning on a regular shift
shall remain at 20 suppression personnel unless authorized by the District Board to reduce below the
level of 20."
Page 40, Section 5,D, Step IV,1. New wording shall be as follows: "If the grievance is not settled
in Step III, binding arbitration may be invoked in accordance with the following": Page 42, Section
5,D, Step IV, 1 ,K," The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding upon the District and
appellant."
Page 14, Section 3,D,7. New wording shall be as follows: "Employees may be subject to recall to
be placed on overtime to fill vacancies created by District training programs of a class wide nature."
Employees must receive at least 2 weeks notice of recall.
Page 16, Section 5,A, 1 ,e. Language shall remain the same.
The District Board shall review District rules and regulations regarding title reference to City
Manager.
Page 16, Section 5A, l,d. Wording identified in number 4, above, will satisfy both requirements to
hold all current and retired employees harmless from both minimum medical and retirement
payments.
