FD 92-025C a RESOLUTION Of THE FIRE BOARD Of THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA AND THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL CONCERNING WAGES, BENEFITS AND OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. FD 92- 025B WHEREAS, the Fire Board of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has determined that it is necessary for the efficient operation and management of the City that policies be established prescribing salary ranges for employees of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District, and; WHEREAS, the Fire Board of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District of the City of Rancho Cucamonga recognizes that it competes in a marketplace to obtain qualified personnel to perform and provide municipal services, and that compensation and conditions of employment must be sufficiently attractive to recruit and retain qualified employees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Fire Board of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, the attached Agreement is approved and incorporated by reference as Exhibit "A," as fully set for herein.' ADAMS, SECRETARY of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly passed, approved, and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 19th day of July, 1995. Executed this 20th day of July, 1995, at Rancho Cucamonga, California. cre Resolution No. FD 92-025C Page 3 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Whereas, the representatives of the Fire Management Employee Group and representatives of the District have met and conferred regarding wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment, and; Whereas, the representatives of the Fire Management Employee Group and representatives of the District have reached agreement on items within the scope of Meet and Confer, and; Whereas, the representatives of the Fire Management Employee Group and representatives of the District wish to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the agreements of the Meet and Confer process; Now, therefore, the Fire Management Employee Group and the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District agree as follows: IMPLEMENTATION All terms and conditions of employment currently in effect and not changed by the provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding will remain in effect. Unless otherwise stated, the effective date for implementation of the items in this Memorandum of Understanding is July 1, 1995. The term of this agreement is July 1, 1995 through June 30, 1996. COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT A base salary increase of 2% 4/10 WORK WEEK Maintain the 4/10 hour days for a period of one year. The 4/10 will be re-evaluated after one year. Resolution No. FD 92-025C Page 4 2% at 55 Postpone final consideration of the PERS amendment of 2% at 55 until results are available from PERS as to cost. At that time the District and bargaining group will meet and have the opportunity to approve or reject participation in the 2% at 55 amendment. Further, any cost related to the 2% at 55 amendment would be considered as a matter of Meet and Confer at the time the cost becomes effective. MILITARY SERVICE BUY BACK The District agrees to amend the PERS contract to allow option for military service buy back at the employee's expense.
