NO. 85-1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1992-93
WHEREAS, a special election was held in the Mello-Roos C~Lmunity
Facilities District No. 85-1 (the "C~,munity Facilities District") of the
Rancho O~amcrr3a F/re Protection District (formerly Foothill Fire Protection
District, the "District"), on Tuesday, ~~ 10, 1985; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the election, more than two-thirds (2/3) of
the qualified electors voted in favor of a proposition to authorize the levy
of a special tax for fire suppression services and facilities, to establish an
appropriations limit based upon changes in cost of living and changes in
population; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authorization of the qualified electorate,
this Board of Directors desires to establish the maximum special tax which
could he levied in the fiscal year 1992-93.
NOW, I}~EREPDRE, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire
Protection District does hereby resolve, determine and order as follc~s:
SECTION 1: Est~_blishing Maximum Special Tax. This Board of
Directors hereby determines that the maximum special tax which could be levied
in the C~L-uunity Facilities District for fiscal year 1992-93 is set forth on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto ~ made a part hereof.
SECT/ON 2: Annual Adjustment in Maximum Special Tax. Pursuant to
authorization of the qualified electorate, this Board of Directors hereby
declares that it shall anm~lly adjust the maximum special tax based upon the
lesser of:
(a) changes in cost of living; or
(b) dlanges in cost of living and changes in population as defined
in Section 7901 of the Govex-x,~-ent Code
occurring within the Oam~unity Facilities District in the immediately
preceling fiscal year.
