WHEREAS, prehospital energency medical care is a major service
provided by the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protectic~ District; and
WH~ZAS, Fire District personnel are considered the primary
providers/first respo~ders to emergency situations involving the protection of
life and property, it is imperative that local control of the delivery of
emergency medical care be maintained within our jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, all agencies (public and private) who provide, in wb~le or
in part, prehospital emergency medical care, r~ to fully cooperate in
delivering these essential services in the interest of our citizens' health,
safety and welfare; and
WHEREAS, it is the Board of Directors belief that the public trust in
providing emergency medical care rests with our local elected and appointed
officials.
NC~q, TH~3~FORE, the Board of Directors of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga does hereby resolve to urge Oounty and local public officials to
recognize the importance of a well organized, cooperative and efficient
service' s role in providing prehospital emerg~ care as primary
providers/first responders to incidents involving the public's health, safety
and welfare.
