FD 91-011A A RESOLUTION OF THE FIRE BOARD OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. FD 91-011 IMPLEMENTING SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1991/92 WHEREAS, the Fire Board of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has determined that it is necessary for the efficient operation and management of the City that policies be established prescribing salary ranges for employees of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District and WHEREAS, the Fire Board of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District of the City of Rancho Cucamonga recognizes that it competes in a marketplace to obtain qualified personnel to perform and provide municipal services, and that compensation and conditions of employment must be sufficiently attractive to recruit and retain qualified employees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Fire Board of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, as follows: SECTION 1: Salary Ranges No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 2: Health Insurance No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 3: Dental Insurance No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 4: Vision Insurance The Fire District provides vision care coverage for members of the association at a payment of up to $19.00 monthly, effective August 1, 1991. SECTION 5: Life Insurance No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 6: Holidays No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 7: Holiday Hours No Change from FD 91-011 Resolution No. FD 91-011A Page 2 SECTION 8: Flex Work Week No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 9: Uniform Allowance No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 10: Tuition Reimbursement No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 11: Vacation Vacation leave is a right, earned as a condition of employment, to a leave of absence with pay. All full-time employees shall, with continuous service, accrue working days of vacation monthly according to the following schedule: 40 - hour personnel Years of Annual Completed Service Accrual 1-3 years 4-7 years 8-10 years 10-19 years 20-24 years 25+ years 85.72 hours 128.57 hours 171.43 hours 188.58 hours 196.58 hours 204.58 hours Shift personnel Years of Service Annual Accrual 1-3 years 4-7 years 8-i~ years 10-19 years 20-24 years 25+ years 120 hours/5 shifts 180 hours/7.5 shifts 240 hours/lO shifts 264 hours/11 shi~ts 288 hours/12 shifts 312 hours/13 shifts SECTION 12: Sick Leave No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 13: Bereavement Leave No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 14: Military Leave No Change from FD 91-011 Resolution No. FD 91-011A Page 3 SECTION 15: Work Related Injuries No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 16: Standby Pay No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 17: No Change from FD 91-011 SECTION 18: Survivors Benefits The contract with the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) will be amended to allow for Section 21382.4 Third Level of 1959 Survivor Benefits. The effective date of this change is the date that PERS certifies the amendment has been accepted upon submittal of the necessary paperwork from the Fire District.
