A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING A CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE FOR DESIGNATED
DISTRICT PERSONNEL
A. Recital s.
(i) The Political Reform Act of 1974, California Government Code,
Sections 81000, et. seq., has in the past and foreseeably will in the future
require conforming amendments to be made in Conflict of Interest Codes adopted
and promulgated pursuant to its provisions.
(ii) The Fair Political Practices Commission has adopted a regula-
tion, 2 California Code of Regulations, Section 18730, which contains the
terms of a standard model Conflict of Interest Code, which can be incorporated
by reference, and which will be amended to conform to amendments in the
Pol i ti cal Reform Act after publ i c notice and hearings conducted by the Fair
Political Practices Commission pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act,
California Government Code Sections 11370, et seq.
(iii) Incorporation by reference of the terms of the aforementioned
regulation and amendments to it in this District's Conflict of Interest Code
will save the Board time and money by minimizing the actions required of this
Board to keep the Code i n conformity with the Poli ti cal Reform Act.
(iv) Pursuant to the provisions of California Government Code,
Section 87311, a duly noticed public hearing was conducted and concluded prior
to the Adoption of this Resolution.
B. Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire
Protection District does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
1. In all respects as set forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this
Resolution.
2. All prior conflicts of interest codes adopted by the District
hereby are repeal ed.
3. The terms of 2 California Code of Regulations, Section 18730 and
any amendments to it duly adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission,
along with the attached Appendices in which officials and employees are
designated and disclosure categories are set forth, are hereby incorporated by
reference and constitute the Confl i ct of Interest Code for the Rancho
Cucamonga Fire Protection District.

4. Persons holding designated positions shall file statements of
economic interests pursuant to Sections 4 and 5 of the Conflict of Interest
Code.
5. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

* NOTE: The Board of Directors may file a copy of the
Disclosure Statement required of them as Members of the City
Council, signed and verified as if it were an original, in lieu
of filing a statement hereunder. (See: 2 California Code of
Regulations, ยง 18730.)
** With respect to consultants, the Fire Chief shall determine
in writing if a particular consultant performs a range of
duties requiring disclosure hereunder. This determination
shall include a description of the consultant's duties and a
statement of the extent of disclosure requirements. A copy
of this determination shall be filed with the Secretary and
a copy forwarded to the Board of Directors.

APPENDIX _B
Category
Persons in this category shall disclose all interests
in real property within the jurisdiction of the District. Real
property shall.be deemed to be within the jurisdiction if it or
any part of it is located not more than two.miles outside the
District's boundaries or within two miles of any land owned or
used by the District.
Category
Persons in this category shall disclose all income from
and investments in businesses which provide or sell services or
supplies of the type associated with the job assignment and
utilized by the District. In addition, as to any business entity
in which the person or his or her spouse owns, directly,
indirectly or beneficially, a ten percent or greater interest,
the person shall disclose his or her pro rate share of the income
and the sources of income of the entity if the entity provides or
sells services or supplies of the type indicated in the first
sentence of this paragraph.
