HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-03-87 - Resolutions RESOLUTION 1-3-87 ' A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE FOOTHILL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO COMPLY WITH THE HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, SECTIONS 17958 , 17958 . 5 AND 17958 .7 WHEREAS, the Foothill Fire Protection District governing body do hereby find and declare: A. Adverse climatic conditions increase the likelihood of fire. Once a fire occurs , the spread is increased due to climatic conditions . B. Development has created additional vehicular traffic on surface streets ; a freeway and two railroads transgress the city; additional traffic signals have been installed; all of which increases the response time of fire apparatus , or after a geographical disaster, eliminates the response of fire apparatus, which contributes to greater life and property loss, and WHEREAS, due to these conditions , there is an express need for changes and modifications in the 1985 edition of the ' Uniform Fire Code, and WHEREAS, the aforementioned changes and modifications are included and incorporated in Ordinance 13 , a copy of this Resolution shall be incorporated and filed with this ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Foothill Fire Protection District does hereby recommend that these facts and findings be submitted to the Department of Housing and Community Development, State of California, in order to comply with Section 17958 , 17958 . 5 and 17958 . 7 of the Health and Safety Code.
