A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
INDUSTRIAL SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT 90-02 TO AMEND THE
LAND USE REGULATIONS FOR SUBAREA 5 TO CONDITIONALLY
PERMIT AUTOMOTIVE FLEET STORAGE, AND MAKING FINDINGS IN
SUPPORT THEREOF.
A. Recitals .
(i ) The City of Rancho Cucamonga has initiated an application for
Industrial Specific Plan Amendment 90-02 as described in the title of this
Resolution. Hereinafter in this Resolution, the subject Specific Plan
Amendment request is referred to as "the application."
(ii ) On June 27 , 1990, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application and
concluded said hearing on that date.
( iii ) All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred .
B. Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby found, determined, and resolved by the
Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows :
1 . This Commission hereby specifically finds that all of the facts
set forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.

2. Based upon substantial evidence presented to this Commission
during the above-referenced public hearing on June 27 , 1990, including written
and oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Commission hereby
specifically finds as follows :
(a) The proposed amendments will not have a significant impact
on the environment as evidenced by the conclusions and findings of the Initial
Study, Part II ; and
(b) The proposed amendment is necessary to allow for
appropriate land uses within Subarea 5 .
3. Based upon the substantial evidence presented to this Commission
during the above-referenced public hearing and upon the specific findings of
facts set forth in paragraphs I and 2 above, this Commission hereby finds and
concludes as follows:
(a) That the proposed amendment is consistent with the
objectives of the Industrial Specific Plan, and the purposes of the District
in which the site is located.

(li) That the proposed amendment will not be detrimental to the
public health, safety, or welfare or materially injurious to properties or
improvements in the vicinity.
(c) That the proposed amendment is in compliance with each of
the applicable provisions of the Industrial Specific Plan.
(d) That the proposed amendment will not be detrimental to the
objectives of the General Plan or the Industrial Specific Plan.
4 . This Commission hereby finds that the project has been reviewed
and considered in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act of
1970 and, further, this Commission hereby recommends issuance of a Negative
Declaration.
5. Based upon the findings and conclusions set forth in paragraphs
1 , 2 , 3 , and 4 above, this Commission hereby resolves as follows:
(a) That the Planning commission of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga hereby recommends approval of Industrial Specific Plan Amendment
90-02, amending Table III-1 and page IV-37 as attached.
6. The Secretary to this Commission shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.

SUBAREA 5
Land Use Designation General Industrial
Primary Function The area has railroad access and is substantially
developed with many users having rail access.
Where possible, future users should be
functionally served by rail uses and primarily
for manufacturing and warehousing activities.
This subarea is located south of AT & SF Railroad
to the southern City limit east of Archibald,
west of Haven.
Rail Service Function It is the City' s policy to encourage the
development of Rail Service facilities on parcels
with strong rail development potential .
Standards have been established as a part of this
Specific Plan (Part III, Section IV.G. ) which
require Rail Service development of all parcels
which adjoin existing or proposed lead/spur rail
lines.
