CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
Special Meeting
A. CA!,I, TO ORDER
A special meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga City Council was held on Monday, June 14, 1993, in the Council
Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting
was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Charles J. Buquet II.
Present were Councilmembers: William J. Alexander, Rex Gutierrez (arrived at 6:01 p.m.), Diane Williams, and
Mayor Pro Tern Charles J. Buquet II.
Also Present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Jerry B. Fulwood, Deputy City Manager; Robert Dominguez,
Administrative Services Director; Susan Neely, Finance Officer; Diane O'Neal, Management Analyst II; Chief
Dennis Michael and Alex Ahumada, Administrative Services Officer, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District;
and Debra J. Adams, City Clerk.
Absent was: Mayor Dennis L. Stout
B. ITEM OF DISCUSSION
Councilmember Gutierrez amved at 6:01 p.m.
BI. FIRE DISTRICT TAX AND REVENUE ANTICIPATION NOTES (TRANS) FINANCING Staff report
presented by Jack Lam, City Manager. (1302-00 FIRE DIST)
Mayor Pro Tem Buquet opened the meeting for public input. There being no response, public comment was closed.
MOTION: Moved by Alexander, seconded by Williams to accept staff's plan of action, not participating in the
TRANS, not signing a Letter of Commitment.
Mayor Pro Tem Buquet felt it was fortunate that the Fire District does have reserve funds to help out with this type
of situation.
Motion camed unanimously, 4-0-1 (Stout absent).
Jack Lam, City Manager, stated it is important to build up reserves over time and explained this.

C. ADJOURNMENT
MOT~[ON: Moved by Willjams, seconded by Alexander to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously, 4-0-1 (Stout
absent). The meeting adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
