HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985/03/13 - Minutes - AdjournedMarch 13, 1985 CITY OR RANCHO CUCAMONGA CITY COUNCIL MINUTES Adjourned Meeting Pre-Budget Discussion and Review of City Goals An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rancho Cuamonga met on Wednesday, March 13, 1985, in the Rancho Cucamonga Neighborhood Center, 9791 Arrow Nighway. The meeting was called to order at 6:38 p.m. by Mayor Jon D. Mikels. Present were Councilmembers: Pamela J. Wright, Charles J. Buquet, Richard M. Dahl, Jeffcry King, and Mayor Jon D. Mikels. Councilmember Buquet arrived at 7:18 p.m. Also present were: City Manager, Lauren M. Wasserman; Robert A. Rizzo, Assistant to City Manager; Jack [am, Community Development Director; Rick Gomez, City Planner; Lloyd Hubbs, City Engineer; Harry Empey, Finance Director; William Holley, Community Services Director; Captain John Furschar, Sheriff's Department. OVERVIE~ CITY GOALS ~ RELATH~ TO 1984-85 PRfMSRJM OF SERVICE. City Manager, Lauren Wasserman reviewed the City goals that were prepared and approved by City Council in March, 1983. STATUS REPORT - DEPAR1MENTAL OPERATIONS FOR CURRF~T FISC~ YF~R. F~ch Department reviewed current operations as related to the budget approved for the 1984-85 Fiscal Year. The Administration Department presentation was done by Mr. Wasserman; Finance Department, Harry Empey; Community Services, William Holley; Community Development Department, Jack Lam; Planning, Rick Gomez; Engineering, Lloyd Hubbs; Building and Safety, Jerry Grant; and Sheriff's Department, Captain Furschar. OUTLOOK FOR 1985-86 PROGRAM OF SERVICES. Discussion was held regarding upcoming major projects, modification to ourrent projects, and projected level of service for the 1985-86 budget year. Each department provided a presentation regarding projections for the coming fiscal year. CO~IL ~SINESS <i) Council suggested staff look into the following program: 1. Community Relations/Complaint Center to centralize processing of complaints. 2. Development of a comprehensive risk management program. 3- Review of the current goals and objectives for the City to be reviewed at a special City Council meeting on May 9, 1985, at the Rancho Cucamonga Neighborhood Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m. to the adjourned meeting of the City Council, Thursday, March 14, 1985, at 6:00 p.m., Lions Park Community Center to review Day Creek facilities.
