1. CALL TO ORDER
An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga met in
the Lions Park Community Center on Tuesday, August 14, 1984. The meeting was
called to order at 5:50 p.m. by Mayor Jon D. Mikeis.
Present were Councilmembers: Pamela J. Wright, Richard M. Dahl, .leffery
and Mayor ion D. Mikeis.
Also present were: City Manager, Lauren M. Wasserman; Assistant City Attorney,
Ted Hopson; City Clerk, Beverly A. Authelet; Mark Lorimer, Administrative
Analyst.
Absent: Councilman Charles J. Buquet II.
2. COUNCIL BUSINESS
iA. CONSIDERATION OF BALLOT ARGUMENTS FOR CITY MEASURE, "SHALL THE POSITION OF
MAYOR BE ELECTED?" - Item continued from August I, 1984
Council waited until 5:00 p.m., the deadline set by the City Clerk', to see if
any arguments came in. A call was made to City Hall to check. No ballot
arguments were submitted.
Council modified Resolution No. 84-216 by deleting Section 1.
City Clerk Authelet read the title of Resolution No. 84-216.
RESOLUTION NO. 84-216
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANClIO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS
MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITYEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY
MEASURE AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN
IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS
MOTION: Moved by Dahl, seconded by King to adopt Resolution No. 84-216 as
amended. Motion carried unanimously 4-0-1 (Buquet absent).
2B. DISCUSSION OF ORDINANCE 231 - Mobile Home Park Rent Adjustment. Added
Item.
Council discussed provisions of Ordinance No. 231 and stated that agreement
among the tenants committee and park owners is close.
ACTION: No action was taken.

3. ADJOURNMBNT
MOTION: Moved by Dahl, seconded by King to adjourn to a Closed Session.
Motion carried 4-0-1 (Buquet absent). Meeting adjourned at 5:25 p.m., not to
reconvene.
