CAI.I, TO ORDER A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, September 16, 1992, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called m order at 7:04 p.m. by President Dennis L. Stout. Present were Boardmembers: William J. Alexander, Charles J. Buquet II, Diane Williams, Pamela J. Wright, and President Dennis L. Stout. Also present were: Jack Lain, City Manager;, James Markman, City Attorney; Linda D. Daniels, Deputy City Manager; Jerry B. Fulwood, Deputy City Manager;, Rick Gomez, Community Development Director,, Tarry Smith, Park Planning/Development Superintendent; Brad Bullet, City Planner, Steve Hayes, Associate Planner;, Joe O'Neil, City Engineer; Joe Stofa, Associate Engineer; Jim Frost, City Treasurer;, Alex Ahumada, Administrative Services Officer; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager;, Diane O'Neal, Management Analyst II; Susan Mickey, Management Analyst I; Chief Dennis Michael, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Capt. Bruce Zeiner, Rancho Cucamonga Police Department; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary. B. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENTATIONS B 1. Recognition of Albertson's and Carl's Jr. for their contribution during the Etiwanda Fire of July 6, 1992. President Stout presented the proclamations m Mike Herz and Kim BoyeL B2. Presentation of a Proclamation designating the week of October 4 through October 10, 1992 as Fire Prevention Week and calling upon the people of Rancho Cucamonga m "Test Your Smoke Detector - It Is Sound Advice." President Smut presented the proclamation to Chief Dennis Michael. B3. Chief Michael, Fire District, presented an award to the President and Board of Directors for architectural excellence for the design of Fire Stations 4 and 5 from the International Association of Fire Chiefs. CONSENT CAI.ENDAR Jack Lain, City Manager, requested that Items D3 and IM have the August expenditure amounts changed as per the memo distributed by the City Clerk. D 1. Approval of Minutes: August 5, 1992 D2. Approval to receive and file current Investment Schedule as of August 31, 1992. D3. Approval of General Fund 01 Monthly Expenditure Report for June 1992 in the amount of $407,894.19; for July 1992 in the amount of $368,792.73; and for August 1992 in the amount of $122,040.3-9 $417,504.82. D4. Approval of CFD 85-1 Fund 02 Monthly Expenditure Report for June 1992 in the amount of $248,764.57; for July 1992 in the amount of $122,640.39; and for August 1992 in the amount of g 17,504.83 $122,640.39. MOTION: Moved by Alexander, seconded by Buquet to approve the Consent Calendar as corrected. Motion carried unanimously, 5-0. E. ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARINGS El. CONSIDF. RATION OF ADOPTION OF THF. FIR~ DISTRICT G1;N1;RAI. FUND FINAl. BUDGPT FOR FISCAl. YEAR 1992/93 IN THI:- AMOUNT OF $6.522.620.00 Staff report by Chief Michael, Fire Distxict. Jack Lam, City Manager, added that this is being done according to state law and added there will need to be modifications necessary in the future because of cuts made by the state in order for them to balance their budget. He stated the Redevelopmerit Agency is taking the 7th largest hit in the state for a Redevelopmerit Agency and that RDA is losing $3.7 million. President Stout opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing was closed. RESOLUTION NO. FD 924321 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING A FINAL BUIX~ET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY I, 1992 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1993. Moved by Buquet, seconded by Alexander to approve Resolution No. FD 92-021. Motion carried MOTION: unanimously, 5-0. F.
