CALL TO ORDER A special workshop of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Wednesday, May 6, 1992, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 8:04 p.m. by President Dennis L. Stout. Present were Boardmembers: William J. Alexander, Charles J. Buquet II, Diane Williams, Pamela J. Wright, and President Dennis L. Stout. Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney, Linda D. Daniels, Deputy City Manager; Rick Gomez, Community Development Director; Tarry Smith, Park Planning/Development Superintendent; Otto Kroutil, Deputy City Planner; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer; Sigmund Dellhime, Management Analyst II; Jim Hart, Administrative Services Director; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Diane O'Neal, Management Analyst II; Susan Mickey, Management Analyst I; Capt. Bruce Zeiner and Lt. Mike Ingram, Rancho Cucamonga Police Department; Chief Dennis Michael, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary. B. ITEM OF DISCUSSION B1. INTRODUCTION OF PROPOSED PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR 1992/92 FISCAL YEAR Jack Lam, City Manager, stated the Fire District budget would only be presented tonight. He added it is first approved on a preliminary basis, and then approved at a later meeting. Chief Michael presented the Fire District's budget. He stated the budget is divided into three sections: General Fund, and Mello Roos Funds for 85-1 and 88- 1. He continued by stating that basically the budget is a roll over of the previous year. Boardmember Wright stated she had questions with some of the projections for 1992/93, but would meet with Chief Michael on an individual basis to have the answers explained to her. Fire Protection District Minutes May 6, 1992 Page 2 Chief Michael added he has not received any comments from the Fire District Association. B2. Chief Michael, Fire District, announced there is a request for one of Rancho Cucamonga's Boardmembers to serve on the State Fire District Board per a telephone call he received from the State President. The Board concurred that Boardmember Buquet would serve on the State Fire District Board. C. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Moved by Alexander, seconded by Buquet to adjourn. unanimously, 5-0.
