A. CALL TO ORDER
An adjourned meetjng of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Thursday, June 8, 1995
in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga,
California. The meeting was called to order at 5:10 p.m. by President William J. Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Paul Biane, James Curatalo, Rex Gutierrez, Diane Williams, and President
William J. Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Jerry B. Fulwood, Deputy City Manager; Linda D. Daniels,
Redevelopment Manager; Robert Dominguez, Administrative Services Director; Susan Stark, Finance Officer;
Rose Colurn, Accountant; Ingrid Blair, GIS Supervisor; Larry Henderson, Principal Planner; Gall Sanchez,
Planning Commission Secretary; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Suzanne Ota,
Community Services Manager; Paula Pachon, Management Analyst II; Kathy Sorensen, Recreation
Superintendent; Deborah Clark, Library Manager; Chief Dennis Michael, Deputy Chief Bob Corcoran and
Administrative Services Officer Alex Ahumada - Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Captain Ron
Bieberdorf, Rancho Cucamonga Police Department; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Susan
Mickey, Management Analyst I; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary.
Jack Lam, City Manager, announced that Resolution Nos. 95-003 and 95-004 had corrected Resolution
Nos. of 95-010 and 95-011, respectively.
B. PUBLIC HEARINGS
B1. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
GENERAL FUND PRELIMINARY BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,982,870 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1995/96
Staff report presented by Jack Lam, City Manager.
President Alexander opened the meeljng for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing was
closed.
MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Curatalo to approve the preliminary budget for Fiscal Year 1995/96.
Motion carried unanimously, 5-0.

B2. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT THE FISCAL YEAR 1995/96 GENERAL FUND ARTICLE XIII-B
APPROPRIATION LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,162,250 Staff report presented by Jack Lam, City Manager.
President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing was
closed.
RESOLUTION NO. FD 95 003 010
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE
GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1995/96
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII-B OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION
MOTION: Moved by Gutierrez, seconded by Williams to approve Resolution No. FD 95-003. Motion carried
unanimously, 5-0
B3. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS ADOPTING A BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT
OF $2,036,000, ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,257,410, AND
ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM SPECIAL TAX THAT COULD BE LEVIED IN COMMUNITY FACILITIES
DISTRICT NO. 85-1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1995/96 Staff report presented by Jack Lam, City Manager.
President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing was
closed.

RESOLUTION NO. FD 95-008
A RESOLUTION OF THE-BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 88-1 FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1995/96.

FUNDING FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES DURING FISCAL YEAR 1995/96 Staff report presented by Jack

President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing was
closed.

RESOLUTION NO. FD 95-009
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING ENTRY INTO AN AGREEMENT
FOR FUNDING OF THE FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA
MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Gutierrez to approve Resolution No FD 95-009. Motion carded
unanimously, 5-0.
Jack Lam, City Manager, stated the final adoption date of the budget for the Fire District will be June 27, not
June 21 as is indicated in the staff report, due to legal advertising requirements.
