A. CALL TO ORDER
An adjourned meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District was held on Thursday, June 13, 1996,
in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga,
California. The meeting was called to order at 5:36 p.m. by President William J. Alexander.
Present were Boardmembers: Paul Biane, James Curatalo, Rex Gutierrez, Diane Williams, and President
William J. Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Linda D. Daniels, Redevelopment Agency Manager; Susan Stark,
Finance Officer; Rose Colum, Accountant; Jim Frost, City Treasurer; Kathy Sorensen, Recreation
Superintendent; Rick Gomez, Community Development Director; Joe O'Neil. City Engineer; Shintu Bose,
Deputy City Engineer; Dave Blevins, Public Works Maintenance Manager; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; L.
Dennis Michael, Fire Chief and Bob Corcoran, Deputy Chief, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; Diane
O'Neal, Management Analyst II; and Debra J. Adams, Secretary.
B. CONSENT ORDINANCES
B1. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL FOR AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ANNUAL LEVY OF
A SPECIAL TAX IN MELLO-ROOS COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1 FOR FISCAL YEAR
1996/97

CALIFORNIA, AUTHORING THE LEVY OF A SPECIAL TAX IN MELLO-ROOS
COMMUNITYFACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 85-1FOR FISCALYEAR1996/97
MOTION: Moved by Biane, seconded by Williams to waive full reading and adopt Ordinance No. FD 26. Motion
carried unanimously, 5-0.

GENERAL FUND PRELIMINARY BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,208,110 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996/97

President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing was
closed.
MOTION: Moved by Gutierrez, seconded by Biane to adopt the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District
General Fund Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 1996/97. Motion carried unanimously, 5-0
C2. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT THE FISCAL YEAR 1996/97 GENERAL FUND ARTICLE XIII-B
APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,949,750

RESOLUTION NO. FD 96-008
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE
GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996/97
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII-B OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION
President Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing was
closed.
MOTION: Moved by Curatalo, seconded by Biane to approve Resolution No. FD 96-008. Motion carried
unanimously, 5-0.
C3. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS ADOPTING A BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT
OF $2,092,800, ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,485,610, AND
ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM SPECIAL TAX THAT COULD BE LEVIED IN COMMUNITY FACILITIES
DISTRICT NO. 85-1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996/97

MAXIMUM SPECIAL TAX WHICH COULD BE LEVIED IN MELLO-ROOS

closed.
MOTION: Moved by Curatalo, seconded by Biane to approve Resolution Nos. FD 96-009.96-010 and 96-011.
Motion carried unanimously, 5-0.
C4. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS ADOPTING A BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT
OF $236,900 AND APPROVING THE APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $295,960 FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1996/97 IN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 88-1
