CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library Foundation Board was held on Monday, May 4, 2015, in the Tri-Communities Room, located at the City of Rancho Cucamonga at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. Present were Members Akahoshi, Davies, Gonzalez, May, Scott, Soehnel and Sommer. Also present were Phil Rodriguez, Francie Palmer, Communications Manager, Michelle Perera, Library Director, Donald Granger, Senior Planner and Vivian Garcia, Administrative Secretary. B. Michelle Perera, Library Director, presented an oral update to the Members on the Assistant Library Director position. Library Director Perera reviewed the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties Community Foundation Grant with the Members which Library staff had submitted. F. BOARD BUSINESS Fl. Consideration and discussion of"four de Fork. The discussion will be led by President Leal. Library Director Perera updated the Members on the events that would be held at the Library during the month of May. Flyers of the events were presented to the Members. Michelle Perera, Library Director, stated that the Library filled the position for the Assistant Library Director. Brian Sternberg will be starting June I" and will attend the next Library Foundation Board meeting. Library Director Perera updated the Members on the status of the second floor. F2. Consideration and discussion regarding Election of Board Officers. Discussion led by President Leal. After discussion, Member Scott will consider the office of President, Member Gonzalez will consider the office of Vice President and Member Gilfry will consider the office of Secretary. F3. Consideration and discussion regarding potential new Members. The discussion will be led by President Leal.
