RESOLUTION NO. FD 16-030
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT,
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING AND
WAIVING THE COLLECTION OF CERTAIN PERMIT FEES
A. RECITALS.
(i) The California Government Code requires that prior to levying a new fee or increasing an
existing fee or service charge, as hereinafter set forth, the local agency shall hold a noticed
public hearing to consider the matter.
(ii) On Dec 7, 2016, the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District conducted and
concluded a duly noticed public hearing concerning the proposed fees, as required by law.
(iii) All legal prerequisites to adoption of this Resolution have occurred.
B. RESOLUTION.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire
Protection District hereby finds and resolves as follows:
1. The facts set forth in the Recitals, Part A of the Resolution, are true and correct.
2. The Fire District has conducted a study of all costs incurred by the District in providing
inspection and permit services. Costs to the District in providing the Services include, but
are not limited to, salary and benefits paid to District employees, cost of maintaining the
necessary equipment and facilities, asset usage costs, and risk management costs.
3. The Fire District has calculated the minimum number of staff-hours that will necessarily
be expended based upon the specific type of Services required.
4. The fee amounts established herein do not exceed the minimum cost to the District in
providing each of the listed services to include the initial inspection and one re-inspection.
5. The Fire Code of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District as adopted by Ordinance
No. FD 56 has two required operational permits which were not included in previous
ordinances.
6. Fees for the aforementioned operational permits have not been established in fee
resolutions previously approved by the Board.
7. The Board hereby approves and adopts the following permit fees:
a. Carbon dioxide systems used in beverage dispensing $110
b. Mobile motor fuel-dispensing $165

8. For fiscal year 2016-17, there does not exist a fiscal need to collect the fees approved
herein.
9. The Board hereby waives collection of the fees approved herein for fiscal year 2016-2017
only. Thereafter, said fees will be collected unless the Board again approves a waiver as
to such collection.
10. Nothing in this Resolution shall be deemed to affect any other fees of the District currently
in effect.
11. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
