A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING AN UPDATED FEE
SCHEDULE APPLICABLE TO COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT,
COMMUNITY SERVICES, ENGINEERING, PLANNING, AND
POLICE DEPARTMENT.
A. Recitals.
1. The California Government Code allows the City to establish fees and charges for
municipal services, provided such fees and charges do not exceed the estimated reasonable cost
to the City in providing the service to which the fee or charge applies.
2. Data indicating the estimated or actual cost to provide each service, for which the fees
and charges set forth herein apply, was made available to the public at least ten (10) days prior
to the date of the public hearing.
3. On December 6, 2017, City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga conducted a
duly noticed public hearing on the amendment.
4. All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Ordinance have occurred.
B. Resolution.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga finds and resolves as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set forth in the
Recitals, Part A, of this Ordinance are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council hereby specifically finds that the fees and charges set forth
do not exceed the estimated reasonable cost of providing the service for which the fee or charge
be levied.
SECTION 3: The City hereby adopts the following fees for services performed by the
Community Improvement Division:

Costs for the procurement, service and related
Abatement— processing of inspection and/or abatement
Marijuana, 500 or warrants. Actual costs for legal services shall be $31000.00

when in excess of established fee.

SECTION 4: The City hereby adopts the following fees for services performed by the
Community Services Department:

SECTION 5: The City hereby amends Resolutions 14-003 and 16-004 and adopts the following
fees for services performed by the Community Services Department:

SECTION 6: The City hereby amends Resolution 12-196 and adopts the following fees
for services performed by the Engineering Services Department, including a technology fee of
5%:

The fee set forth in this section shall be adjusted annually, commencing on July 1, 2018, and each
year thereafter, without further action of the City Council, based on the Employee Cost Index for
State and Local Government Employees,Total Compensation, during the 12 month period ending
on December 31st of the immediately preceding year, as released by the U.S. Department of
Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics and rounded to the nearest whole dollar. If this index is
discontinued, a replacement index, as determined by the City Council, shall be utilized.
SECTION 7: The City hereby amends Resolution 12-196 and adopts the following fees for
services performed by the Planning Department, including a technology fee of 5%:

The fee set forth in this section shall be adjusted annually, commencing on July 1, 2018, and each
year thereafter, without further action of the City Council, based on the Employee Cost Index for

SECTION 8: The City hereby amends Resolution 90-108 and adopts the following fees for
false alarm service charges issued by or as authorized by the Rancho Cucamonga Police
Department:

SECTION 9: Community Improvement Division, Community Services Department,
excluding the Sports Organization Light fee, and Police Department fees will be effective January
1, 2018. Planning and Engineering Services fees will be effective 60 days from the adoption of
the resolution, consistent with State Law, and the Transportation Development Impact Fee will be
effective March 1, 2018. The Sports Organization Light Fee will be effective July 1, 2018.
SECTION 10: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
