2nd Annual Open House -
What ’s New at the Animal Center?
The animal center is opening its doors to the public on Tuesday,
February 11th for an “Open House” from 6 to 8 p.m. We will be
offering cheese and crackers, coffee and tours of our facility.
In addition, there will be a special raffle to win several women’s

Please come join the fun and learn
how this department is committed to
providing services and programs that allow
animals to be healthier, happier and great
additions to your family. We are located
just south of the Rancho Cucamonga
Epicenter and Sports Complex. For those
attending the event, we will be handing out
half price pet adoption certif icates.
What better way to celebrate this season of
giving than to give a forever home to a loving,
homeless pet?
During the month of December, the Rancho
Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center
will be participating in the internationally
celebrated “Home 4 the Holidays” Campaign
in hopes of matching up our cuddly friends
with their new, loving, forever homes.
There will be special pet promotions for those
who adopt one of our homeless pets during
the month of December.
So come by and join us for the festivities and
special gifts. We’re open seven days a week or
visit us on www.RCPets.info.
Our homeless pets have one holiday wish – a new home.
With your help we can make that wish come true!AnIMAL CEnTERNow accepting American E xpress as well as VISA & Mastercard.
Winterize Your Pets
Don't leave dogs outdoors when the
temperature drops. Most dogs, and all
cats, are safer indoors, except when taken
out for exercise. Regardless of the season,
short-haired, very young or old dogs and
all cats should never be left outside
without supervision. Short-coated dogs
may feel more comfortable wearing a
sweater during walks.
A dog or cat is happiest and healthiest when kept indoors. Pets that
spend a lot of time outdoors need more food in the winter because
keeping warm depletes energy. use plastic food and water bowls
rather than metal; when the temperature is low, your pet's tongue
can stick and freeze to metal.
Warm engines in parked cars attract cats and small wildlife, which may
crawl up under the hood. To avoid injuring any hidden animals, bang on
your car's hood to scare them away before starting your engine.
Rabbits do not tolerate drafts or dampness. R abbits make
wonderful house pets, but if you keep your bunny outside make
sure to bring her inside if the weather falls below 40° Fahrenheit.
Antifreeze is a deadl y poison, but it has a sweet taste that may
attract animals and children. Wipe up spills and store antifreeze
(and all household chemicals) out of reach.
Please note: The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center
will be closed December 24th - 25th, December 31st,
