Services at the Center
We offer a variety of adorable,fun and cuddly pets just
waiting to find new homes.For outstanding value and
services,come to the Center or visit “RC Pets
Available”on our website to see all the loving dogs,
cats,hamsters,rabbits,guinea pigs,etc.that are available for adoption.All
adoptions include the following,as appropriate:
First Vaccinations •Microchip •Deworming
Flea and Tick Prevention •Spaying and Neutering
The Center also issues licenses (required for all dogs
4 months and older)and schedules clinics to provide your pets with
preventative vaccines and rabies shots (provided at a reduced rate).
Contact the Center or visit our website for upcoming dates and times.
The Center encourages pet owners to spay and neuter their pets and is
happy to provide information on the benefits of doing so.Vouchers ($50
for dogs and $25 for cats)are available for Rancho Cucamonga residents
to help make the cost of services more affordable,as well as information
on other low-cost providers.
In our continuing effort to improve services to our homeless pets,
the Animal Care &Services Department has recently completed a new
surgical facility where pets at the Center can receive prompt and complete
medical treatment onsite.Holiday Appeal
Wondering what to get for that hard to shop for friend or relative?Want to
honor the memory of a loved one who has passed away (person or pet)?
Make a donation in their name and help the 6,000+homeless
animals which come through the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and
Adoption Center every year.The Center has a goal of building a
community in which every adoptable pet finds a home.

Surplus Food Distribution Program
The Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County Food Bank,along with the
City of Rancho Cucamonga,distributes surplus food on the first Monday of every month
from 11 am -1 pm to eligible residents at the Goldy S.Lewis Community Center.
Eligibility is based on income.Distribution is on a first come,first serve basis.There is a
homebound delivery program for the physically disabled.Proof of residency and income

The Playschool Program is a progressive
socialization program for children ages 1 -5
which runs from September to May.Classes
focus on building self-esteem,attention spans
and social development through games,music,
crafts and group play.Playschool Registration
Playschool registration began April 12,2008.
