who are creating Broadway’s next great musical!

…will be available to add to the evening’s enjoyment
in a transformed Celebration Hall!
The Music Man follows fast-talking salesman Harold Hill as he cons the
people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a
boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know
a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are
foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a
respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.
Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County,
PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of
their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with
her new boy toy, Spike. Masha has returned home to attend a
costume party at an influential neighbor’s house and insists that her
friends and family dress as characters from Disney’s animated Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs. Old resentments flare up, eventually
leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy
maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely young
actress named Nina who provokes envy in Masha, lust in Spike, and
sympathy in Vanya. (Due to adult language and content, this production
may not be suitable for all audiences.)

For the Love of Kittens!
The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center’s
Neonatal Kitten Nursery will open in May for our second
season of saving abandoned underage kittens.
The Nursery is a 24-hour, 7 day a week staff and volunteer
run operation. Last year, the Animal Center received approximately
1,100 underage kittens and moms with litters and is anticipating
receiving even more this season. The Nursery is funded through
donations and relies on community support for monetary and
in-kind donations.
We are hoping to recruit our community to help support this life saving program! You can help by hosting a Kitten nursery donation drive! Several
veterinary hospitals have already joined our efforts by placing a donation drop box in their reception areas. Your business, school, or club can help
by collecting much needed items. For a list of these items and for more information, visit www.RCPets.info.
Adopt-a-Cat Month
The ASPCA is celebrating June as Adopt-a-Cat month to educate
people about the wonderful cats and kittens available for adoption
at animal shelters. The ASPCA wants to “encourage everyone to
make pet adoption their first option and to educate people about
improving their quality of life through the companionship of a cat.”
Our Animal Center has a variety of adorable, fun and cuddly felines
just waiting to find their new forever home. Visit us today and see
which new four-legged friend will melt your heart.
Back by popular demand, this event is a day where pet lovers can
bring their beloved four-legged friends out to LoanMart Field to
take in an exciting Quakes baseball game. Bark in the Ballpark
takes place not only to allow pet lovers to bring their friends out,
but just as importantly to help benefit the Animal Center.

Safety First
When traveling:
• Bring a copy of your pet’s medical and
vaccination records.
• Make sure your pet has current ID tags on at
all times.
• Bring plenty of water from home as your pet’s
stomach will be much happier.
• Bring your pet’s favorite food, dishes, and toys.
• Stick to your pet’s regular feeding schedule.
• NEVER leave your pet in a parked automobile as
the temperatures can more than double inside
your car very quickly! Remember, even if it is
only for a “few minutes,” that can be too long!
Summer Heat
Safety Tip
In some places it is hotter than 100
degrees! Unlike people and other
animals, rabbits can’t pant or sweat
to cool themselves off in hot weather.
Of course, the best way to keep a
rabbit cool is in your home with
the air conditioning on. Even if you
can’t keep your rabbit indoors all the
time, consider setting up an indoor
enclosure or putting your rabbit
in your bathroom with a litter box,
water and hay and bring your rabbit
in for the hottest part of the day.
