Book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty
Music by Stephen Flaherty
Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens
Co-Conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Eric Idle
Based on the Works of Dr. Seuss
Some of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the
Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, and Jojo, a little boy
with a big imagination, have lovingly been brought to life in this Tony
Award-winning musical for the entire family! Seussical follows the
adventures of Horton the elephant who discovers a speck of dust
containing the tiny town of Whoville and its citizens. Not only must
Horton protect the Who's from a world of naysayers and dangers,
but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the
irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger,
kidnapping, and a trial, the irresponsible Gertrude McFuzz never
loses faith in him. ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty and
family, are challenged, but the most miraculous "think" saves them all!

ThE MusIcAl
Presents
using Sternheim's 1910 comedy, Steve Martin has reinvigorated a hilarious, laugh-out-loud farce! The renowned comic actor and
author of the 2011 Blackbox Production of Picasso at the Lapine Agile provides a wild satire adapted from the classic German play
about Louise and Theo Markes, a couple whose conservative existence is shattered when Louise's bloomers fall down in public!
Risqué frivolity and madcap antics make this play a hilarious and totally irreverent piece of theatre! (Due to the adult themes
and content of this play it is not suited for young audiences.)
A play by Carl Sternheim
Adapted by Steve Martin
Directed by Kevin Slay

Summer Travels
• Make sure your pet is up to date on all vaccinations. Carry proof
of vaccinations when traveling, especially across state lines.
• Make sure your pet has at the very least an I.D. tag and
preferably a microchip.
• Take several short rides before your car trip to reduce your
pet ’s anxiety.
• Bring plenty of water from home as your pet ’s stomach will
be much happier.
• Bring your pet’s favorite food, dishes, as well as favorite toys.
• Make rest stops every 2 hours so you and your pet can stretch
your legs and go to the bathroom.
• Stick to your pet ’s regular feeding schedule.
• NEVER leave your pet in a parked automobile. Temperatures
can more than double inside your car very quickly.
Remember, even if it is only for a ‘few minutes,’ that can be
too long.
• If staying with friends along the way, be considerate. Pet friendly
hotels are another option, but, again, do not leave your pet
unattended in strange surroundings.

Summer Safety
The Summer is filled with fun for family
and pets, but there are also some
hazards to be aware of:
• Lawn fertilizer and insecticides can
be harmf ul to pets. There are also
over 700 plants that have active
toxic substances that can cause
harmful effects of animals.
• Pets and pools can be a dangerous if they f all in accidentally and
no one is home.
• Pets need exercise in summer, but extra care should be taken in
the heat, especially with older dogs and those with short
muzzles. Exercise pets in the morning or evening when the
temperature is the coolest.
• Know the signs and symptoms of heatstroke, which are heavy
panting, glazed eyes, rapid heart beat, restlessness, excessive
thirst, letharg y, fever, dizziness, vomiting and or a deep red or
purple tongue.
• Skunks, raccoons, porcupines, snakes and other wildlife can
injure your pet. Keep your pet in your sight and on a leash.
• A bandanna soaked in water and cooled in the refrigerator, then
placed around your pet’s neck, will aid in keeping them cool.
• Parasites are out in f ull force in summer, take preventative action.
