Read With a Furry Friend
Are you looking for a fun interactive reading
program for your 6 – 9 year old? Is your
child curious about animals and interested in
learning more about them? We have just the
program for you. Puppy Rhymes and Story
Times is a unique partnership between the
Rancho Cucamonga Library and Animal Care
and Adoption Center to provide your
reluctant reader an opportunity to read to
a certif ied Therapy Dog. They also get to
learn lots of fun animal facts and basic
humane education at the same time.
What better way to promote the human-animal bond than
through the joy of reading. Be sure to check out www.RCPets.info
for more information.
Bark in the Park

The event takes place not only to allow pet lovers to bring their

with the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center
in order to support and increase awareness of the leadership and
vision that the Animal Center has for the community. For the Bark

Are You Foster
Material?
If you have room in your
home and love in your heart,
please consider becoming a
foster care volunteer. As a foster
you may become an animal’s best advocate in helping them to
find that perfect ‘forever’ home, setting the stage for a successf ul
adoption. You will learn their personalities and behaviors in a
home setting whereby you can help us in making the best
connection suited for them.
By becoming part of our Foster
Care Program you will be helping
animals that are too young to be
adopted or may be recovering
from injuries, medical treatment
or those in need of socialization.
However, this is not something
to be taken lightly as it is time
consuming and requires 24/7
commitment. You will be
responsible round the clock
for the animal’s safety, comfort and general well-being, a
responsibility that can be exhausting, especially when caring
for young puppies and kittens. It is a commitment full of
rewards! For additional information, please call and ask to
speak with a ‘Foster Coordinator.’
