5 FALL 2017 GRAPEVINE THEATRELewisFamilyPlayhouse.com
This faithful adaptation of Dahl’s quirky, scary tale pits a young boy against
child-hating witches who are holding a conference at an English seaside hotel.
Unfortunately, the Boy is turned into a mouse, but with the help of his loving
Grandmother, he manages to spoil the witches’ evil plot, saving England’s children
from suffering the same fate!
When Kris Kringle, a nice, old man from a retirement
home gets a job working as a Christmas Santa at
Macy’s, his honest and generous spirit unleashes
waves of good will throughout New York City and a
hint of magic in the heart of a very practical little girl. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy’s vocational
counselor, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing where his freedom and the joys of childhood fantasy
are at stake. This holiday tale is one we want to believe in, where love, decency and generosity of spirit are
their own rewards. Share this perennial holiday favorite with the entire family this season!

Playwright A. R. Gurney’s disarmingly
funny and unforgettably emotional
portrait about the powerful connection
of love. Two friends share fifty years
of friendship through countless
letters—from grade school valentines
to romantic missives, they express their
hopes and fears, loves and losses. But
long after the letters are done, the real
question remains: Have they made the
right choices or is the love of their life
only a letter away?

Adopt-a-Dog Month - October
Throughout the month of October, the American Humane
Association joins with animal shelters across the country in
celebrating Adopt-a-Dog Month. People are encouraged to help
homeless animals by opening their hearts and homes to dogs in
need. The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center can
help you to find the perfect pet. By adopting a dog from the Animal
Center, you are saving the lives of these precious animals and giving
them much needed, loving homes. Be sure to check out our website
at RCPets.info as it is a source for all your pet needs.
Adopt-a-Senior-Pet Month - November
Attention animal lovers - November is Adopt-a-Senior-Pet Month and
we would love for you to consider giving a home to an older cat or
dog in need. There are many advantages to adopting an older dog.
You'll know important things like their full-grown size, personality,
and grooming requirements. Older pets are great at focusing on you
because they're calmer than their younger counterparts. They're
content going for a short walk and can be a great match for older
adults, or those who enjoy a less active lifestyle. Older pets have been
around the block and have already learned what it takes to get along
with others and become part of a pack. They'll be a part of your family
in no time and you'll feel the rewards every day you spend together.
Bark in the Ballpark August 2nd, 16th & 23rd
Back by popular demand, this event is a day where pet lovers can bring their
beloved four-legged friends out to LoanMart Field to take in an exciting Quakes
baseball game. Not only does the event allow pet lovers to bring their furry friends
out, it also benefits the RC Animal Care and Adoption Center. This partnership with
the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes increases awareness of the leadership and vision
that the Animal Center has for the community. For more information log onto the
Quakes’ website at RCQuakes.com. We hope to see you at the game!
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are a Minor League Baseball team. They are a Class A Advanced
team in the California League and a farm team of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Make a Difference: Volunteer Today
Do you want to lose weight, tone up or just get some fresh air? Consider a walk with a canine companion. Walking can significantly reduce a
man's risk of a heart attack and the benefit is even greater for a woman. Put on your walking shoes, grab a leash, and sign up to volunteer today
to walk one of our dogs. See what a difference it can make in your life. Your heart and the dogs will thank you!

Microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen, but a
microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.
Registering and Updating Your Pet's Microchip
Consider making an appointment with your veterinarian if your pet isn't already microchipped. Once your pet is
microchipped, routinely check to see that the chip's registration information is up-to-date by creating an account
through the chip's manufacturer. Chips contain information like your home address, phone number, and a unique
pet identification number.

This class assumes you have never touched
a computer before, and that's okay. Identify
computer parts, tell the difference between
hardware and software, and use the keyboard
