Bark in the Ballpark
7 pm --August 3rd &August 24th
Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter (8408 Rochester)
Don’t miss this great outing for baseball fans and their very best friends.
Pet lovers can bring their beloved four legged friends to share in the
fun of a Quakes Baseball game. The event not only allows pet lovers
to bring their animal friends along, but partnering with the
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes allows the Animal Center to gain support
and increase awareness of the Animal Center in the community.
Fit For Two
Do you want to lose weight, tone
up or just get some fresh air?You
may want to consider letting
something with four legs and a
wagging tail tag along.
Research shows that dog walkers
are more active and more likely to
take regular walks if their walking
companion is canine rather than human. Both you and the dog
benefit from walking by getting an adequate amount of exercise.
Let’s face it -walking a dog is good exercise.Dogs are great
motivators.Even on those days when you just don’t feel like
walking,a dog will let you know that,no matter how you feel,
he still wants to go for that walk.
Not only is walking a dog good for
those flabby thighs, its good for the
heart.Walking can significantly reduce
a man’s risk of heart attack and the
benefit is even greater for a woman.
So what are you waiting for?Put on
your walking shoes and grab a leash!Sign up to volunteer today
to walk our homeless dogs and see what a difference it can
make in your life.Your heart and the dogs will thank you!
Senior Pet Care Month
No time to teach new tricks?
Adopt a Senior Pet!
The American Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals (ASPCA)and
Petfinder.com celebrate
November as
Adopt-a-Senior-Pet Month.
The upcoming holiday season
may be an excellent time to put
some balance in your life and adopt a senior pet.Senior pets
can and do bond very strongly with adopters. Many seem to
understand they have been given another chance at a happy life
and are grateful for the opportunity to love someone and be
loved in return.
Our shelter has an abundance of
healthy senior pets looking for a
special home to cherish them for the
rest of their life.Although shaping the
life of a youngster sounds appealing,
giving a second chance to an older companion can be equall y
rewarding. So,visit the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center
today and adopt a senior pet.
Aloha!
The Animal Center has gone Hawaiian for
the month of August.Come visit one of our
lovable, adoptable pets in our Luau Room.
Adopted pets will receive a special gift and
pricing in August.Wear a Hawaiian outfit
while visiting and receive an extra special gift
with your adoption.
