PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
Regular Meeting
January 10, 2001
Chairman McNiel called the Regular Meeting of the City of Rancho Cucamonga Planning
Commission to order at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held in the Council Chamber at Rancho
Cucamonga Civic Center, 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. Chairman
McNiel then led in the pledge of allegiance.

COMMISSIONERS: PRESENT: John Mannerino(arrived 7:50 p.m.), Larry McNiel, Pam Stewart,
Peter Tolstoy
ABSENT: Rich Macias
STAFF PRESENT: Brad Buller, City Planner; Dan Coleman, Principal Planner; Kevin Ennis,
Assistant City Attorney; Nancy Fong, Senior Planner; Dan James, Senior Civil
Engineer; Brent Le Count, Associate Planner; Lois Schrader, Planning
Secretary; Kid Coury, Associate Planner; Rudy Zeledon, Assistant Planner;
Emily Wimer, Assistant Planner

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Brad Buller, City Planner, announced that various pieces of correspondence were received
pertaining to several items on the agenda. He indicated that the correspondence would be noted for
the record as the items are heard. Mr. Buller also announced that Cucamonga County Water
District's facility won 3 design awards from the American Institute of Architects; the Concrete
Masonry Association of California and Nevada and the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. Mr. Buller
also announced that Commissioners Macias and Mannerino were experiencing travel difficulties
because of the stormy weather and that they were expected to arrive late and the meeting would
proceed without them.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion: Moved by Tolstoy, seconded by Stewart, carried 3-0-2-0, to approve the minutes for the
Adjourned Meeting of November 21, 2000.
Motion: Moved by Stewart, seconded by McNiel, carried 3-0-2-0, to approve the minutes for the
Adjourned Workshop Meeting of November 21, 2000.

A. ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND TENTATIVE TRACT 15492— KAUFMAN & BROAD
OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, INC.—A proposed subdivision of 33.3 acres of land into 139 lots
for single-family homes and 2 lettered lots for trail and landscaping purposes in the Low-Medium
