This adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen tale is set
in 18th Century China, where two young princes must
compete to be the next Emperor. It will take nothing less
than bravery, empathy, and a magical bird to teach them
the meaning of leadership.

It's the Right Choice: For You, Your Pet and Rancho Cucamonga
World Spay Day is an annual campaign of The HSUS, Humane Society
International and the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Associations.
The campaign shines a spotlight on the power of affordable, accessible
spay/neuter services to save the lives of companion animals,
community (feral and stray) dogs and cats. Take action on February 26
and promote the many benefits of spaying and neutering pets! Spaying
and neutering is good for your pet, you and the community.
• Dogs and cats will be healthier and live a longer, happier life.
• Your dog or cat will be a better, more affectionate companion.
• Your pet will be better behaved, friendlier and less likely to fight,
bite, or run away.
• Your neutered cat is less likely to spray and mark territory.

Bark in the Ballpark
Log onto RCQuakes.com for dates and times.
Bark in the Ballpark runs April through August.
The Animal Center is urgently seeking interested volunteers to participate
in this life-saving program.
If you have room in your home and love in your heart, please consider becoming a foster care volunteer.
You will be responsible for round the clock care for the animal's safety, comfort and general well-being.
It's a commitment full of rewards! For additional information, please call us or visit RCPets.info.
The City of Rancho Cucamonga has a diverse population of native
and non-native wildlife. Our Animal Control Officers are available
to respond to calls for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife in Rancho
Cucamonga. Additionally, the officers track wildlife sightings in our
city and can help our residents with ways to humanely co-exist
with our wildlife neighbors. To reach our Field Services Department
please call us or send an email to: Field.Services@CityofRC.us.
Important reminder: Pets should always be kept inside and
supervised while outdoors.
*No Food Means No Critters
Be sure your garbage can lids are on tight.
Raccoons are strong and remarkably
dexterous, so secure your cans with a
bungee cord if necessary. Recyclables
should be clean and rinsed thoroughly
of food deposits and smells.
*Guarding the Garden
Gardens offer an irresistible treat to deer,
rabbits and other herbivores. Building
a fence around the garden is the best
and most popular method of keeping
animals away from your garden.
*Fledging Birds
If you find a baby bird that has feathers,
its eyes are open and it is able to
move away from you then the best thing to do is to leave it alone!
The parents will find it and continue to take care of it wherever it is.
