All rock shall be selected and of 12" average size. All material shall be inspected by the City prior to installation. PVO SPOIL BINDER --Soil binder to secure alluvial rock in place shall be PVO X-2000 or equal. Materials ate. available from: P.V.O. Excavate and remove soil to a depth sufficient to allow for placement of alluvial rocks to acheive desired landscape effect. 2. Set 8" to 18" size alluvial rocks on top of 2" or more of moist sand or decomposed granite. Fill voids between large: rocks with smaller rocks to create rockwork finish. Rockwork should be such as to form in essentially flat surface with no significant protruding rocks. Jagged rock surfaces shall not be exposed to surface. 3. Place in between rocks 3" or more of a sand and cement mixture consisting of l part Cement to 15 parts sand. 4. Thoroughly dater such that material is wel) moistened to depth of at least 3 inches. v. 'Wait 3 days then spray with PVO X-2000. Sealer is to be mixed and applied asfollows. into each four gallons of clean water pour one gallon of PVO X-2000 concentrate. Mix solution for a minimum of five minutes prior 'to'spray application, Spray solution onto alluvial rock until all surfaces and crevices are well wetted. Adjust spray to administer solution at approximately 150 square feet per gallon. 6. Cure Time: Allow 72 hours with no disturbance to alluvial rock for curing of sealer.
