A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, MODIFYING PAYING AND
REPORTING THE VALUE OF EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER
CONTRIBUTIONS TO CALPERS FOR THE FIRE MANAGEMENT
EMPLOYEE GROUP AND FIRE UNION LOCAL 2274
BARGAINING GROUP
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District has
the authority to implement Government Code Section 20691; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District a
written labor agreement which specifically provide for the normal member contributions to be paid
by the employer; and reported as additional compensation; and
WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedure to modify Section 20691 is the adoption by
Fire District of a resolution modifying paying and reporting the value of modified Employer Paid
Member Contributions (EPMC) for employees who meet the conditions set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District has
identified the following conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC:
Effective February 5, 2022:
• This benefit shall apply to all Classic Safety and miscellaneous employees within the Fire
District bargaining units as set forth;
• This benefit shall consist of paying 4% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable* (excluding Government Code
Section 20636(c)(4)) as additional compensation for all Classic Safety Employees within
the Fire Management Employee Group, hired prior to July 9, 2011.
• This benefit shall consist of paying 4% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable* (excluding Government Code
Section 20636(c)(4)) as additional compensation for all Classic Safety Employees within
the Fire Management Employee Group, hired on or after July 9, 2011 and through
December 31, 2012 and Classic PERS members who were hired on or after January 1,
2013.
• This benefit shall consist of paying 4% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable* (excluding Government Code
Section 20636(c)(4)) as additional compensation for Fire Chief hired prior to July 9, 2011.
• This benefit shall consist of paying 3% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable* (excluding Government Code
Section 20636(c)(4))as additional compensation for all Classic Miscellaneous Employees
within the Fire Management Employee Group, hired prior to July 9, 2011.

• This benefit shall consist of paying 2% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable* (excluding Government Code
Section 20636(c)(4))as additional compensation for all Classic Miscellaneous Employees
within the Fire Management Employee Group, hired on or after July 9, 2011 and through
December 31, 2012 and Classic PERS members who were hired on or after January 1,
2013.
• This benefit shall consist of paying 4% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable* (excluding Government Code
Section 20636(c)(4)) as additional compensation for all Classic Safety Employees within
the Fire Union Local 2274 Group, hired prior to July 1, 2011.
• This benefit shall consist of paying 4% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable* (excluding Government Code
Section 20636(c)(4)) as additional compensation for all Classic Safety Employees within
the Fire Union Local 2274 Group, hired on or after July 1, 2011 and through December 31,
2012 and Classic PERS members who were hired on or after January 1, 2013.
* Note: Payment of EPMC and reporting the value of EPMC on compensation earnable is
on pay rate and special compensation except special compensation delineated in
Government Code Section 20636(c)(4) which is monetary value of EPMC on
compensation earnable.
