State law prohibits the Library Board of Trustees from addressing any issue not previously included on the Agenda. The Board may receive testimony and set the matter for a subsequent meeting. Comments are to be limited to five minutes per individual or less, as deemed necessary by the Chair, depending upon the number of individual Members of the audience. This is a professional business meeting and courtesy and decorum are expected. Please refrain from any debate between audience and speaker, making loud noises or engaging in any activity which might be disruptive to the decorum of the meeting. B.CONSENT CALENDAR The following Consent Calendar items are expected to be routine and non- controversial. They will be acted upon by the Library Board of Trustees at one time without discussion. Thursday, March 3, 2022 CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING MINUTES CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Library Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. President Janet Temkin called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present were Members DeVries, Miller and Wells. Also present were: Julie A. Sowles, Library Director, Wess Garcia, Deputy Library Director and Jennifer Palacios, Executive Assistant II. A.PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS None. B. ITEM B1 - 1 Thursday, March 3, 2022 CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING MINUTES F.IDENTIFICATION OF ITEMS FOR THE NEXT MEETING President Temkin adjourned the meeting at 6:38 p.m. to April 7, 2022. BACKGROUND: Library use metrics are kept regularly to provide data on the measurable activities of both physical and virtual Library Services. ANALYSIS: The attached Library Use Metrics report includes statistics for January–March 2022. The metrics reflect the number of visitors, checkouts, patrons registered by location, and passport applications processed. All use of Library Services has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the temporary reduction of in-person services, including visitor traffic and materials checkout. Staff will continue to collect data to use for evaluation and assessment of programs and services and report it to the Library Board of Trustees on a quarterly basis. FISCAL IMPACT: None.
