CALL TO ORDER The City of Rancho Cucamonga Public Art Committee held a regular meeting on Tuesday,March 1,2022 in the Rains Conference Room at City Hall, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. Chair Leslie Matamoros called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Present: Committee Members Bryan Dopp,Jaymie Leslie,John Machado, and Leslie Matamoros Absent: Committee Member Paula Pachon Also present were Linda A. Troyan,MMC,Director of City Clerk Services; Michael Parmer,Assistant to the City Manager; Erika Lewis-Huntley,Management Analyst III; Katie Bailey, Management Analyst 11; and Monica Mahoney, Consultant with Gemini Projects. B. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS No public communications were made. C. COMMITTEE BUSINESS Cl. Administration of Oaths of Office for re-appointed Public Art Committee Members Jaymie Leslie,John L. Machado, and Leslie Matamoros. Linda A. Troyan,MMC, Director of City Clerk Services administered the oaths of office to the re-appointed Public Art Committee Members Jaymie Leslie,John L. Machado,Jr.,and Leslie Matamoros. C2. Selection of Chair and Vice Chair for the Public Art Committee. Discussion ensued regarding duties and nominations for the Chair and Vice Chair positions for the Public Art Committee. Jaymie Leslie nominated Leslie Matamoros for Chair and John L. Machado Jr. as Vice Chair. MOTION: Moved by Jaymie Leslie, seconded by Bryan Dopp,to approve Leslie Matamoros as Chair and John L. Machado Jr. as Vice Chair of the Public Art Committee. Motion carried 4-0(AYES: Dopp, Leslie,Machado, and Matamoros.NOES:None;ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: Pachon). C3. Consideration to approve the minutes of October 5, 2021. MOTION: Moved by Jaymie Leslie, seconded by Bryan Dopp,to approve meeting minutes of October 5, 2021. Motion carried 4-0(AYES: Dopp, Leslie, Machado, and Matamoros.NOES:None;ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: Pachon). C4. Update on the status of the Public Art Fund. Erika Lewis-Huntley,Management Analyst III,provided an update on the status of the Public Art Fund balance; total S583,666.32. C5. Update on the Public Art Strategic Plan. Monica Mahoney, Founding Director of Gemini Projects and consultant for the Public Art Strategic Plan, reviewed outcomes thus far in the strategic planning process. Monica shared that the team has analyzed the data and is currently writing the plan which will be provided to the Committee at a future date for their review. Discussion ensued regarding developing equitable programs and services,enhancing public/private partnerships,and prioritizing community engagement.
