A RESOLUTION OF THE FIRE BOARD OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PROTECTION
DISTRICT AND FIRE MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES BARGAINING
GROUP
WHEREAS, representatives of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District (District)
and Fire Management Employees Bargaining Group representatives have met and conferred
pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act (California Government Code §3500,
at seq.)with regard to terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, representatives of the District and Fire Management Employees Bargaining
Group representatives have agreed upon and presented to this Fire Board a Side Letter of
Agreement (see attached Side Letter of Agreement), effective upon ratification of the Fire Board
and approved by the Fire Management Employees Bargaining Group; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE FIRE BOARD OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT HEREBY RESOLVES that said Side Letter of Agreement is hereby
approved and the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign said Side Letter of Agreement on
behalf of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District, and the City Clerk to attest thereto.

SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONG.A
AND THE FIRE MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEE GROUP
The Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District ("District")and the Fire Management Employees
Group(collectivel). the "Parties") entered into a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") that
commenced on July 1.2011). and expires on June 30. 2023.
The Parties met and conferred in good taith in October of 2022. The Parties agreed to an updated
MOU process related to the cash-out of Holiday Time Leace.
Fire Management Employees Group:ARTICLE III LEAVES-Section I Holidays
J. All emulovees with accrued and unused Holiday time as of 11.59 PM on December 20,2022,
either from calendar year 2017 or earher,will have all their accrued and unused Holiday 1
converted to a cash payment in the same forth (physical check or direct deposit) That the
em to ee normally receives his or her paycheck This cash Payment will be made at the same
time as the January 26 2023 payday.This one-time cash out is not PERSable.
This Side Letter of Agreement shall be incorporated into the MOU.The MOU shall remain in full
force and effect except to the extent modified by this Side Letter of Agreement. This Side Letter
of Agreement shall not be effective until ratified by the District Board and approved by the Fire
Management Employees Group.
