FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT MINUTES
ReGular Meeting
A. C]~T.T. TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District me on
Wednesday, January 3, 1990, in the Lions Park Community Center, 9161 Base Line
Road, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 7:00
p.m. by President Dennis L. Stout.
Present were Boardmembers: William J. Alexander, Deborah N. Brown, Charles J.
Buquet II, Pamela J. Wright, and President Dennis L. Stout.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; James Markman, Legal Counsel; Linda
Daniels, Deputy City Manager; Olen Jones, Sr. RDA Analyst; Jerry Grant, Building
Official; Joe Schultz, Community Services Manager; Patty Riffel, Executive
Assistant; Alex Ahumada, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; and Debra
J. Adams, Secretary.

B. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENTATIONS
B1. Jack Lam, City Manager, stated a corrected copy of Resolution RA 90-001
had been distributed, whereby the word "City" had been changed to reflect
"District"

D. CONSENT CALENDAR
D1. Approval of Minutes: November 15, 1989
D2. Approval of General Fund (Account No. 933-010) Monthly Expenditure Report
for November 1989, in the amount of $482,747.42.

D3. Approval of Mello-Roos Community Facilities District No. 85-1 (Account No.
833) Monthly Expenditure Report for November 1989, in the amount of $87,803.94.
D4. Approval to Receive and File the Fiscal Year 1988-89 Annual Audit of the
Rancho Cucamonga Protection District (formerly, "Foothill Fire Protection
District") as submitted by James M. Quinn, CPA.
D5. Approval to certify municipal election results held on November 7, 1989
as it relates to Measure A - Proposing the levy of a special tax within the
District to fund a District provided paramedic program and proposing an increase
in the District's appropriations limit.

ARESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT,
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT
OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA ON NOVEMBER 7, 1989, DECLARING THE RESULT AND SUCH
OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY THE PROVISIONS OF LAW
MOTION: Moved by Alexander, seconded by Wright to approve the Consent Calendar.
Motion carried unanimously, 5-0.
E. STAFF REPORTS
El. UPDATE ON TRANSITION OF SUBSIDIARY FIRE DISTRICT Staff report by Chief
Dennis Michael, who presented information on capital improvements, personnel
changes that have taken place, their equipment, and added he felt the transition
has gone smoothly and was handled very well.
ACTION: Report received and filed.

F. IDENTIFICATION OF ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING
F1. Boardmember Buquet requested a report to come back on Code 3 responses of
engine companies in determining these responses.
F2. Boardmember Brown requested a report on residential/commercial sprinklers
for discussion.

MOTION: Moved by Buquet, seconded by Wright to adjourn.
