A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A FREEWAY MAINTENANCE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA AND THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, on February 25, 1975, a Freeway Maintenance Agreement was
executed between the City of Rancho Cucamonga and the State of California
relating to the development of that portion of State highway Route 15
(previously Route 31) within the limits of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, and
WHEREAS, under the previsions of said Freeway Agreement, the City
agreed to accept control and maintenance of the relocated or reconstructed
City highways and frontage roads and other State constructed local roads, on
the notice to the City from the State that the work thereon has been completed,
and
WHEREAS, said local road construction has been completed by the State
and found to be satisfactory to the City; and
WHEREAS, the State now requests the City to assume the responsibility
of maintenance as provided in said Freeway Agreement by submitting to the
City for execution a Freeway Maintenance Agreement relating to the afore-
mentioned portion of State Highway 15.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga that it hereby approves and authorizes its Mayor to sign
that certain Freeway Maintenance Agreement dated June 7, 1978; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is directed to transmit
copies of this resolution and said Freeway Maintenance Agreement to the
Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, for final processing.
