A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAHONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE MUNICIPAL
ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON NOVENBER 6, 1984, DECLARING
THE RESULT AND SUCH OTHER NATTERS AS PROVIDED BY THE
PROVISIONS OF LAW
WrIERFAS, a statewide election was held and conducted in the City of
Rancho Cucamonga, California, on Tuesday, November 6, 1984, as required by law;
and
WHEREAS, notice of the election was duly and regularly given in time,
form and manner as provided by law; that voting precincts were properly
established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects the
election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed
and the returns made and declared in time, form, and manner as required by the
provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of
elections in cities; and
WHEREAS, the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Bernardino has
canvassed the returns of the election and has certified the results to this
City Council, the results are received, attached and made a part hereof as
'~xhibit A".
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA,
CkLIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That there were 42 votina precincts established for the
holding of state and county elections.
SECTION 2: That the municipal election was held for the purpose of:
"Shall the electors elect a Mayor and four City Councilmembers?"
"Shall the term of office of Mayor be two years?"
"Shall the term of office of Mayor be four years?"
SECTION 3: That the number of votes given at each precinct and the
number of votes given in the City for each measure were as listed in *~xhibit
A" attached.
SECTION 4: That the whole number of votes cast in said City (except
absent voter ballots) was 21,975.
That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in said City was
1,321, making a total of 23,296 votes cast in said City,
SECTION 5: The City Council does declare and'determine that:
The position of Mayor shall be elected;
The term of office of Mayor shall be 2 years.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk shall enter on the record of the City
Council of the City, a statement of the result of the election, showing: (See
Attachment A)
(i) The whole number of votes cast in the City;
(2) The measure voted for;
(3) Total number of votes for each measure.

SECTION 7: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
