A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, STRONGLY UPIIING THE SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTY BOAILD OF SUPERVISORS TO FULLY UTILIZE THE FOOTHILL
COMNUNITIES LAW AND JUSTICE CENTER
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has
established a modern court facility, known as the Foothill Communities Law and
Justice Center, for the West District in the City of Rancho Cucamonga; and
WHEREAS, the Foothill Communities Law and Justice Center is capable of
serving the needs of the entire West District for several years; and
WHEREAS, the full utilization of the Foothill Co---unities Law and
Justice Center would provide the most cost effective and efficient court
services to residents of the entire West District; and
WHEREAS, a division of court facilities in the West District would
result in a costly duplication of effort, additional staffing, inefficient
services and an underutilization of a full service facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga, California, as follows:
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors is
commended for providing West Valley residents with a
modern court facility.
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors is
strongly urged to put aside all extraneous arguments to
the contrary and centralize all court operations in the
Foothill Communities Law and Justice Center as
originally planned.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 5th day of September, 1984.
