HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-108 - ResolutionsRESOLUTION NO. 84-108 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING PHILLIP D. SCHLOSSER FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY AS MAYOR AND CITY COUNCILMEMBER WHEREAS, Phillip D. Schlosser, was elected one of the original five councilmembers by the citizens of the newly incorporated City of Rancho Cucamonga in November of 1977, and served a second council term from April of 1980 through April of 1984; and WHEREAS, Phillip D. Schlosser served as Mayor of the City of Rancho Cucamonga from April of 1980 through April of 1982; and WHEREAS, Philllp D. Schlosser represented the City of Rancho Cucamonga on the Southern California Association of Governments, the City Council Finance Committee, the Soil Erosion Committee, the Ontario Airport Ground Access Committee, and numerous other council represented committees; and WHEREAS, Phillip D. Schlosser, while Mayor and Councilman was instrumental in improving the economic and social well-being of the community by participating in the adoption of the City's first general plan, the industrial area specific plan, the completion of Alta Loma Park, the acquisition of Heritage Park, and numerous other accomplishments which will have a lasting impact upon the City of Rancho Cucamonga; and WHEREAS, Phillip D. Schlosser, during his tenure as Mayor and as a member of the Rancho Cucamonga City Council, continually provided to his collegues and to the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga an outstanding example of leadership, dedication, and competence. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Rancho Cucamonga City Council, on behalf of its citizens, hereby commends Phillip D. Schlosser for his outstanding leadership and dedication while serving as Mayor and as a member of the first Rancho Cucamonga City Council, and extends best wishes for continued success in future endeavors.
