HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-167 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 88-167 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE~ CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, TO A~ARD AND EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LINVILLE CIVIL ENGINEERS/LAND SURVEYORS, INC. OF RANCHO CUCAMDNGA,~ CALIFORNIA, TO PREPARE PLANS, SFECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATE FOR NINTH STREET PAVEMENT REHAB IL ITATION AND W I DENING PROJECT BETWEEN BAKER AVENUE AND VINEYARD AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga desires to improve Nint~ Street as a collector size east-west thoroughfare between Baker Avenue and Vineyard Avenue, and as a consequence sent out Request for Proposals to several engineering companies to design such project for construction; WHEREAS, the firm of Linville Civil Engineers/Land Surveyors, Inc. has represented as qualified to perform the services in the Request for Proposal and was chosen by the City Engineering Staff to provide professional engineering services for field surveys, engineering design, studies and calculations for the preparation of plans, specificatmons and estmmate for Ninth Street Pavement Rehabilitation Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby resolve to award and execute a Professional Services Agreement with Linville Civil Engineers/Land Surveyors, Inc. to provide professional engineering services to prepare plans, specifications and estimate for Ninth Street Pavement Rehabilitation and Widening between Baker and Vineyard Avenues. Such work shall be performed for a fee not to exceed $16,880.00 to be funded by Systems Development Fund. A contingency fund in an amount of 10% of the contract amount shall also be established for use under the approval and direction of the City Engineer for extra work or Change Order during the course of plan preparation.
