Landsca~ ~inte~nce District No. 3 has ~en d~srcated into. two zones. Zone I is comprised of Parcel ~p 7349, comprised of 8 ~rcels, totalln8 6,057 ~uare feet. ~e district vis foxed in Octobr 5, 1983, for th, ~sintenance of landacaplns a detention b, sl, and sto~ drain vithin the project. ~is zone will ~ assessed on ~r lot basis for the maintenance costs vlthin the project ~unda~ only as stip~ated in the Entineer~s Re~rt fo~ the fomatlon of the District. Resolution No. 88-476 Page 4 Zone'2 is comprised of all other projects that are being annexed or will be annexed to this District. All lots or parcels within Zone 2 will be assessed on net acre basis for the maintenance of landscaped median islands on Haven Avenue from 4th Street to Deer Creek Channel, Foothill Boulevard and 4th Street from west to east City limit, Milliken Avenue and Rochester Avenue, from 4th Street to Foothill Boulevard, 6th Street from Haven Avenue to Rochester Avenue and median islands on other major divided highways and some parkeays within tbs Industrial Specific Plan Area and Foothill Boulevard overlay area. The estimated cost for Landscape Maintenance District No. 3 including Annexation No. 21 is as follows. SECTION 5. Assessment Dias.ram A copy of the proposed assessment diagram is attached to this report and labeled "Exhibit A", by this reference the diagram is hereby incorporated within the text of this report. SECTION 6. Assessment Improvements for the District are found to be of general benefit to all lots within the District and that assessment shall be equal for each parcel for Zone ! and shall be equal to the next acreage for each lot or parcel in Zone 2. Re~olutlon No. 88-47 The City Council will hold a public hearing in June, to determine the actual assessments based upon the actual costs incurred by the City during the previous fiscal year which are to be recovered through assessments as required by the Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972. SECTION 7. Order of Events . 1. City Council adopts Resolution of Prel/~uinary Approval of City Engineer's Report. 2. City Council adopts Resolutlon of Intention to Annex to District and sets public hearing date. 3. City Council condlcts public hearing, considers all test/mony and determines to Annex to the District or abandon the proceedings. 4. Every year in Nay, the City Engineer f/les a report with the City Council. 5. Every year in June, the City Council conducts a -public hearing and approves, or modifies and approves the individual assessments.
