A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCA~DI~A, CALIFORNIA, OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF CITY
ENGINEERt S REPORT FOR ANNEXATION NO. 49 TO LANDSCAPE
HAINTENANCH DISTRICT NO. 1
~HEREAS, on July 6, 1988, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga directed the City Engineer to make and file with the City Clerk of
said City a report in writing as required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act
of 19721 and
~HEREAS, the City Engineer has made and filed with the City Clerk of
said City a report in writing as called for pursuant to said Act, which report
has been presented to this Council for considerationI and
~r/lltS, said City Council has duly considered said report and each
and every parc thereof, and finds chat each and every part of said report is
sufficient, and that said report, nor any part thereof, requires or should be
modified in any respect.
NO~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cuca~onga as follovs~
SECTION Il That the Engineer's Estimate of the itssized coats and
expenses of said work and of the incldental expenses in connection therewith.
contained in said report be, and each of the~ are hereby, prellminarily
approved and confimed.
SECTION 2 ~ That the diagraa showing the Assessment District referred
to and described in said report, the boundaries of the subdivisions of land
within said Assessment District are hereby preliminarily approved and
confirmed.
SECTION 3: That the proposed assessment upon the subdivisions of land
in said Assessment District in proportion to the estimated benefit to be
received by said subdivision, respectively, fro~ said work and of the
incldental expenses thereof, as contained in said report is hereby
preliminarily approved and confirmed.
SECTION 4: That said report shall stand as the City Engineer's Report
for the purposes of all subsequent proceedings, and pursuant to the proposed
district.

Engineer's Report for
Landscape Maintenance District No. 1
Annexation No. 49 for
Tracts 13318
SECTION 1. Authority for Report
This report is in compliance with the requirements of Article 4, Chapter 1,
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code, State of California (Landscaping
and Lighting Act of 1972).
SECTION 2. General Description
This City Council has elected to annex all new subdivisions into Landscape
Maintenance District No. 1. The City Council has determined that the areas to
be maintained will have an effect upon all lots within Tract 13318 as well as
on the lots directly abutting the landscaped areas. All landscaped areas to be
maintained in the annexed tracts are shown on the recorded Map as roadway
right-of-way or easements to be granted to the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
SECTION 3. Plans and Specifications
The plans and landscaping are as stipulated in the conditions of approval
for the development and as apProved by the City Engineering Division. Reference
is hereby made to the subject tract map or development plan and the assessment
diagram for the exact location of the landscaped areas. The plans and
specifications for landscaped improvament on the individual development is
hereby made a part of this report to the same extent as if said plans and
specifications were attached hereto.
SECTION 4. Estimated Costs
No costs will be incurred for parkway improvement construction. Ail
improvements will be constructed by developers. Based on historical data,
contract analysis and developed work standards, it is estimated that
maintenance costs for assessment purposes will equal thirty ($.30) cents per
square foot per year. These costs are estimated only, actual assessment, will
be based on actual cost data.
The estimated total cost for Landscape Maintenance District No. I including
Annexation No. 49 is as follows:

SECTION 7. Order of Events
1. City Council adopts Resolution of ~el~ina~ Approval of City Engineer's
Report.
2. City ~uncil adopts Resolution of ln~ention to Annex to District and sets
public hearing date.
3. City ~uncil conducts public hearing, considers all test~o~ and
detemines to Annex to the District or abandon the proceedings.
