A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND SETTING A HI~LIC
HEARING DATE OF WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3, 1988 FOR THE PROPOSED
19~H STREET ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT REVIE~
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City's Engineering Staff
and Associated Engineers to proceed with formal designs for the Improvement of
19th Street from West City L/mits to Jasper Street; and
~I/EREAS, said proposed improvement requires an Envi£or~ental
Assessment; and
I~HEREAS, an Envlro~aental Assessment has been prepared pursuant to the
California Envirorsaental Quality Act, as amended.
NO~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga does hereby resolve as follows: -
SECTION 1 = The City Clerk of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby
approves and sets a public hearing date of Wednesday, August 3. 1988 at 7:30
p.m. to be held at the Lions Park Community Center, 9161 Base Line Road, Rancho
Cucamonga, Californla for the Etiwanda Storm Drain Environmental Assessment
Review; and
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is directed to submit the attached City of
Rancho Cucamonga Envirormental Assessment Notice for advertisement to The Dail~
Re~ by Thursday, July 21, 1988 for a one-time publication on Sunday, July
24, 1988, ten calendar days prior to said public hearing date pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT NOTICE
Complete enwirormental assessments have been prepared for the following
projects(s). The City Council will be considering these assessments, staff's
recommendation, and public input, at their meeting of August 3, 1988 prior to
making a final envirora~ental determination.
Following is a brief description and location of the project(s) and staff's
recommendation on the project(s) to be considered.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE PROPOSED 19TH STREET
IMPR0VEMEN"PS - CIT~ OF RANCHO ~UCAMD~A - The project which be$ins near the
westerly 1Lmit of the City and continues easterly to Jasper Street consists in
general of widening the street to four (4) lanes, installation of curbs and
gutters, sidewalks, street lights and minor restoration of landscape affected.
STAFF REOOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council approve the Envirom~ental Assessment an~
issuance of a Nesative Declaration for the proposed 19th Street Improvements.
A cop~ of the Envlro~ental Assessment can be reviewed at the Ci%~ of Rancho
Cucemonsa Engineering Division Office located at 9320 Base Line Road. Suite
"B". Rancho Cucamonsa, ~alifornia. Written comments should be addressed to the
Engineering Division, City of Rancho Cucamonga. P.O. Box 807, Rancho Cucamonga,
C~llfornla, 91730, or phoned at (714) 989-1862. In addition, concerns can be
addressed to the City Council publicly at the meeting time previously
mentioned. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and shall take place at Lions
Park Community Center, 9161 Base Line Road, Rancho Cucamonga, California.
