1.1. Plan Chec~ing Fee
I.~xen the valtt~tlon of proposed construction exceeds one

1.6 Mechanical Permits
A fee for each mechanical permit shall be paid to the Building Official as

1.6.1. Additional Inspections
Where additional inspections are made necessary due to work not
being ready at the time specified or due to work not corrected
after prior written correction notice, an additional fee of
~20.00 may be required by the Building Official prior to reinspection.
1.6.2 MechaniCal Plan Checking Fees
When plans are required a plan checkinZ fee equal to 75% of the
permit fee shall be paid to the Building Official at the time
of plan submission.
1.7. Electrical Permit Fees

1.8.2 Plumbing Plan Checking Fees

4.0 ~oving Pi,ildin~s and other extra Legal Loads
z..1 House ~*ovinE and Transportation Deposit: Before issuinR the
transportation ~ermit, the City Engineer shall refluire of the
applicant a de~osit of a sum of monev equal to t,¢~ce t!ne amount
of the estinated expense to indemnify the City for such expenses,
as well as a?ainst any loss or damage which the ~:itv mav qustain
by reason of damage or injury to any street, side~¢a!k, fire hydrant
or other property of the City. Such deposit sbaJ! not he less than
~5qq.00 or a Certificate of Iusurance f}n file ip the office of
the City Enginf~er.
4.2 House ~.~ovin~ Permit: A fee for four (4) sections are subject to
permit fee of ~25.~q per caravan shall be paid by the applicant
who applies for a house movin~ permit.
4.3 Wide Loads: Less than fourteen (14) feet - S3.O~ mer truck.
Fourteen (14) feet and more - ~]q.qO Per truck.
4.a Annual Permits: For loads not more than fourteen (1!.) feet -
S25.qq per truck per year (any route).
5.0 Pepair c~r Fmer~encv ~rork and Scheduled Jobs
5.1 Repair or Emergency Work by City: ~orb acco-~nlished bv the C~ty
to repair facilities damaged by a Contractor, agency or other
party and other emergency work shall. he charqed for in accordance
with the following schedule:

5.!.] l~en work is accomplished by a Contractor engaged by the
City, the charges shall be those established in the contract
by:
(a) Formal bid procedure,
(b) Informal bid procedure,
(c) Purchase Order,
plus administrative costs in the amount of twenty-five
percent (25%) of the basic charge.
!,~en emergency repairs are necessitated due to damage to
City facilities by a Contractor, City crews will be utilized
and charged at the then prevailin~ per diem wage rate as
e~tablished bv the department of employment for this area.
5.1.2 When scheduled or mutual aid work is accomplished by
City crews utilizing city equipment, the basic charge
shall be computed on a time required basis during normal
working hours. Labor charges exceeding the normal working
hours will be charred at time and a half (1~ times the
labor rates listed below):

6.0 ~iscellaneous Fees
6.1 Returned Check Charge_: A charge of ten dollars (SiO) will be
made for all checks returned by the customer's bank.
6.2 Penalty for Failure to Pa' License Fee: A penalty ~f 1Q% per
month of the license fee due shall be paid fl~r failure to pay
a license fee within 30 days after the same shall become due.
Maximum penalty 5~% of license fee. The City shall collect
addition to the penalty due any costs incurred bv the necessity
to file suit for collectLon in the Conrts.
6.3 Replacement for Lost or nestroved License: A fee of ~5.0~ shall
be paid for the replacement of lost or destroved licenses.
7.0 Fee for Communitv Beautification: Community Beautification f~!es
shall be as follows:
7.1 For each single family structure and multi-family structure or in a
hotel, motel, or dormitory, 2Q cents per square foot of gross bui!din~
area nnder roof, or two hundred dollars per each dwelling unit, which-
ever is the greater total sum.
7.2 For each addition to a dwelling unit in a single family
condom~nium, apartment, duplex, or multiple-dwelling structure,
or in a hotel or dormitory, which addition consists of 650 square
feet or more under roof, or which addition creates an additional
dwelling unit, 2~ cents per square foot of gross building area
under roof, or two hundred dollars per each dwelling unit, which-
ever is the greater total sum.
7.3 For each trailer space, two hundred dollars with no additional
sum for any directly accessorv structure.
8.0 Cost of Living ~!justment: Plannin~ Fees and Subdivision fees
and the beaut~fication fee shall be subject to an annual cost of
living adjustment *'ased on the Los Angeles/Long Beach consumer price
index. For purposes of computation, the twelve month period shall
be from "arch to ~arch. Adjustment to begin with Fiscal year
1~ and annholly thereafter.
