A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCttO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AGREEING TO A MUNICIPAL REORGAN-
IZATION PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 35300 et.
seq. TO INCLUDE DETACHMENT OF PROPERTIES AS DESCRIBED
ON AT'£AC~ED EXHIBIT "A" A~4D A~NEXA~ION OI' SAYE 2RGrER~£F~
TO T~E CITY OF ONTARIO.
%~EREAS, the subject properties are separated from Rancho
Cucamonga by physical barriers including the Cucamonga Wash, inajor
streets and the AT&SF Railroad,
i~HEKEAS, the City of Ontario can more efficiently and ade-
quately provide municipal services to said properties, ahus benefiti~
property owners of said properties, and
~HER~AS, the subject properties are more contiguous ~,~ith the
City of Ontario, and future land uses o~ said properties should
compatible to existing land uses of adjacenc properties in Ontario,
N(~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council oF Rancbo
Cucamonga, California, as follows:
1. Tbe Citv o~ Rancho Cucamonya aqrees to the municipal
reorganization pursuant to Government Code Section 253'~'),
et. seq. to include detachment of properties as described
on the attached Exhibi~ "A" and annexation of same
properties to the Citv of Ontario.
2. That the City of Rancho Cucamonga authorizes the City of
Ontario to act as lead agency for the prezonin~, envi-
ronmental assessment and filing of action with ti~e Local
Agency Formation Commission for said properties.
FASSED, A~PROVED, and ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 1978.

EXHIBIT "A"
PARCEL 1 - That portion of Lot 4, Cucamonga Fruit Lands, Section 15,
T1S, R7W, SBBM, as recorded in Book 4 of Maps, Page 9, Records of San
Bernardino County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection
of the centerline of Vineyard Avenue (60 feet wide) and Eighth Street
(74 feet wide); thence south along the centerline of Vineyard Avenue
654.53 feet to a point on the south line of Lot 4, said point also being
the Ontario City limits; thence east along the existing Ontario Citv
limits 1,321.90 feet to the centerline of the Cucamonga Creek Flood
Control Channel; thence northwesterly along said centerline to the
centerline of Eighth Street; thence west along the centerline of Eighth
Street to the point of beginning. 15.14 % acres.
PARCEL 9 - That portion of Lot 14, Cucamon~a Fruit Lands, Section 15,
T]S, P7W, SBBM, as recorded in Book 4 of ~aps, Page 9, Records of San
Bernardino County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection
of the centerline of Sixth Street and the west line of the east onehalf
of Lot 14; thence north along said west line 553.43 feet; thence southeasterly
along the west line of the Cucamonga Creek Flood Control C'.annel to the
centerline of Sixth Street; thence west 262.56 feet to the point of
beginning. 1.67% acres.
PARCEL 3 - Those portions of Lots 23 and 26, Cucamonga Fruit Lands,
Section 15, T1S, R7W, SBBM as recorded in Book 4 of r~aps, PaRe 9,
Records of San Bernardino County, described as follows: Beginning at a
point at the intersection of Hellman Avenue (66 feet wide) and the
prolongation of the south line of Lot 26; thence east along the south
line of said Lot 26, 209.08 feet, said line also being the Ontario Citv
limits to its intersection with the westerly line of the Cucamonga Creek
Flood Control Channel right-of-way; thence northwesterly along said
westerly ]lne and its northwesterly extension to a point where it
intersects with the centerline of Hellman Avenue (66 feet wide); thence
south along the centerline of Hellman Avenue, said centerline also being
the existing Ontario City limits, to the point of beginning. '2.16+
