A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA FINDING AND DECLARING THAT THE PROVISION OF
LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME HOUSING OUTSIDE THE RANCHO
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA IS OF BENEFIT TO THE PROJECT
AREA
~HEREAS, Section 33334.2 (g) of the California Health and
Safety Code requires that not less than 20 percent of all taxes which
are allocated to the Redevelopment Agency shall be used by the Redevel-
opment Agency for purposes of increasing and improving the community's
supply of low- and moderate-income housing unless the Redevelopment
Agency finds that the provision of low and moderate income outside the
Rancho Redevelopment Project Area would be of benefit to the Redevel-
opment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Redevelopment Plan for the Rancho
Redevelopment Project is to revitalize blighted areas and promote
redevelopment activities for the establishment of new residential,
commercial, and industrial uses.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga
finds and declares that the provision of low- and moderate-income housing
outside the Rancho Redevelopment Project Area is of benefit to the
Rancho Redevelopment Project Area.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
