A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
~3CAMONGA, OOUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE EMMETT WAY BETWEEN
SUMMIT AVENUE AND TRACT 11549
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as
follows:
SECTION 1: ~hat the City Council hereby elects to proceed under
Section 8300, et. seq., of the Streets and Highways Code, also known as the
Street Vacation Act of 1941.
SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to
vacate Rmmett Way between Summit Avenue and Tract 11549, a City street, as
shown on Map No. V-077 on file in the Office of the City Clerk, a legal
description of which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by reference
made a part hereof.
SECTION 3: That the City council hereby fixes Wednesday, the 16th day
of March, 1988, at 7:30 P.M., in the Lions Park Community Center Building,
located at 9161 Base Line, Rancho Cucamonga, California, as the time and place
for hearing all persons objecting to the proposed vacation for the purpose of
its determining whether said City street is necessary for present or prospec-
tive street purposes.
SECTION 4: That the City Street Superintendent shall cause notices to
be posted conspicuously along the line of the street or part thereof proposed
to be vacated at least 10 days before the hearing, not more than 30 feet apart
and not less than three signs shall be posted, each of which shall have a copy
of this resolution on them and shall have the following title in lettering not
less than one inch in height: "NOTICE OF HEARING TO VACATE STREET".
SECTION 5: The subject vacation shall be subject to the reservations
of a storm drain easement to the City over the area being vacated and excep-
tions, if any, for existing utilities on record.
SECTION 6: The Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk
shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause same to be published
10 days before the date set for the hearing, at least once in The Daily Report,
a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ontario,
California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Ail of that portion of Offer of Dedication for Emmett Way as shown on
Parcel Map No. 4029, in the City of Rancho Cucamonga as recorded in Parcel Map
Book 38, Page 2, records of San Bernardino County, State of California,
described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Shasta Drive with
the east line of said Parcel Map No. 4029;
Thence No. 0°14'03" E along said east line, a distance of 30.00 feet
to the True Point of Beginning;
Thence continuing N 0°14'03" E along said east line, a distance of
295.85 feet to an intersection with a line parallel with and distant 44.00 feet
southerly (measured at right angles) to the centerline of Summit Avenue;
Thence N 89°50'38'' W along said parallel line a distance of 50.03 feet
to a point of cusp with a tangent circular curve concave southwesterly and
having a radius of 20.00 feet;
Thence southeasterly along said curve a distance of 31.44 feet sub-
tending a central angle of 90°04'41";
Thence S 0°14'03" W along the east line of Parcel No. 2 of said Parcel
Map No. 4029, a distance of 255.86 feet to the beginning of tangent circular
curve concave to the northwest having a radius of 20.00 feet;
Thence southwesterly along said curve a distance of 31.39 feet sub-
tending a central angle of 89055'26", to a point on the north line of Shasta
Drive (60.00 feet wide);
Thence S 89°50'31" E along the projection easterly of said north line
of Shasta Drive, a distance of 49.97 feet to the True Point of Beginning.

described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Shasta Drive with
the east line of said Parcel Map No. 4029;
Thence S 0°14'03" W along said east line, a distance of 30.00 feet to
the True Point of Beginning;
Thence continuing S 0°14'03" W along said east line for a distance of
295.86 feet to the south line of Parcel Map No. 4029;
Thence N 89°50'24'' W, a distance of 30.00 feet to the southeast corner
of Parcel 4 of said Parcel Map No. 4029;
Thence N 0°14'03'' E along the east line of said Parcel 4 a distance of
275.83 feet to the beginning of a tangent circular curve concave to the
southwest having a radius of 20.00 feet;
Thence northwesterly along said curve a distance of 31.44 feet, sub-
tending a central angle of 90°04'34" to a point on the south line of Shasta
Drive (60.00 feet wide);
Thence S 89°50'31" E along the projection easterly of said south line
